How?

You get Ebo and Lynch who are easily valued a pick 6.
West Coast get Matera

Gold Coast would be the big losers maybe they'll demand one of your lower end picks.

None of it is speaking in relative terms either way, we both know it will never happen

OMG, You get Matera for Ebert.

That is fair is it?

Firstly, let me say I am a huge Ebo fan. Good in the air, tough, chirpy (gives it too his opponants, does a lot of great stuff off the ball)
Secondly, this....
http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/sport/a/-/eagles/10374138/contracts-on-hold-for-fringe-eagles/
"Ebert hails from South Australia and has natural links to Port Adelaide where his cousin Brett has played 150 games. He is understood to be considering his future after struggling for game time in West Coast's midfield this season.Coaches preferred to play him at half-forward as fellow youngsters Luke Shuey and Scott Selwood showed rapid development around the stoppages.
The change in roles coincided with him being dropped once during the home-and-away season before losing his place again after the club's 20-point qualifying final loss to Collingwood."

So, the way I read it, he gets dropped because he has been overtaken, cracks it then wants out. I am ****ing filthy with him.

I can say a lot more but read the article, make your own mind.

Absolutely filthy, **** off if thats the attitude Ebo.

I am gutted. :thumbsdown::mad::(

C'mon dude seriously the guy get bugger all oportunity at WC , if he doesn't play the best he can he get dropped and so many of our fans are always sinking the boots into the kid , so he is doing the right thing IMO so get off his back FFS:mad:

Should definitely go for Pick 28 + 4th Band compensation pick (2010 Nathan Krakouer) If Port finish down the bottom next year which is likely that pick will be around pick 20 next year in a stronger draft.

Should definitely go for Pick 28 + 4th Band compensation pick (2010 Nathan Krakouer) If Port finish down the bottom next year which is likely that pick will be worth around pick 20 next year in a stronger draft.

Port traded that pick back to GC for Simon Phillips.

If he explicitly stated he wants to go to South Australia I highly doubt GWS and GC will upset the apple-cart and select Ebert.

Why? He would have no choice in it really if he wants to risk the draft and not have a suitable trade done. I would choose nothing over a 3rd round pick.

28 is our priority pick.

A second round upgrade deal would be 28 and 33 for Ebert and 45.

It is looming as the most fair and likely deal IMO (barring any other trades that would generate other picks that could be included).

Cheers. Seems like a good deal for us.

What would a compo pick swap look like?

Pick 28 sounds useful who knows 17 other clubs may overlook another Jack Darling, if we're lucky :D
yeah unfortunately this is more like the 2009 draft than the 2010 draft. look it up.

ebert is a good player and all this talk about pick 28 is bollocks. port will need to find more. i honestly wouldnt be surprised if its 23+ebert for 6. its over the odds, but port gets a first rounder. last year, SEVERELY over the odds. but if its like 2009, its only slightly.

also love port cynicism. they were squealing like little girls when their players were being picked off only two months ago with talks of taking trengove and butcher to PSD if port arent happy and now they want to do just that. they talk like they dont want him, but understand that to win finals, contested football is king and not sexy skills. ebert provides that inside grunt that will compliment their other youngsters.

no offence to ebert, but his heart has clearly been with port the entire time he's been at west coast. who remembers that inside 50 episode a while back where scooter said it was typical of ebert to be watching all the port games every weekend?

if he wants to leave after our club ignored all his flaws and saw the bright in him, then fine.

expect disposal efficiency to go up by 15%.

have fun at port adelaide with all the other failures, i'm sure you'll feel right at home.

ADIOS amigo.

Yes I remember that, couldn't shake it either

Uh what news you been reading??? The mob down the road is sooking about losing all their players, we have lost sweet FA.

And pick 6 for Ebert? yeah gonna throw a certain Fijian ruckmen in that deal?

Well this is good for guys like hams and Strijk but I really hope to see the emergence of Koby Stevens next year he could be a gun. In terms of the Ebert trade potentially Pick 28 and Motlop for him. I know picking up Motlop would be a pretty bad idea and its pretty much pick 28 and nothing but it would definitely solve a problem for port. Motlop can come over to WA like he wants and occupy that spot on the list that has previously been occupied by the likes of JON and Ashley Sampi and who knows, the coaching staff might be able to bring the best out of him.

we are usually fair traders (stenglein for pick 8 when we could have taken him in PSD). sure u can screw us, but then dont complain when you get screwed.

Pick 28 + Motlop = Pick 28 - One spot on their list

Therefore, Pick 28 > Pick 28 + Motlop.

But we arent here to solve Ports problems. If they dont want Motlop then delist him. Not one person on this board would seriously want Motlop. Wouldnt get a game for us, so we will just be paying him money to play in the WAFL. No thanks

Yeah ok, Port finish as good as bottom and get Brad Ebert as a reward

Pick 23 means sweet FA and you know it as far as that deal goes.

But hey, you are breaking the deals here, gotta make sure you are your happy!.

Pick 28 and a shuffle of picks is by far the most likely scenario IMHO, pending other trades that could take place.

yeah but he has nominated Port

these ****ing mummies boys just screw clubs over.

They sure do, but in this case we won. This absolute muppet is a total ball murderer and who ever gets him may as well start from scratch with his kicking. He has the heart of a split pea and application rate of a limp biscuit.

Hip Hip Hoooray I am glad to see the back of this complete dud!!!!!

Believe GWS dont have the first pick in the PSD either.

So it would just be GC, happy to be proved wrong though.

Presumably it's the same as last year where the incoming franchise had the first pick in the PSD. (Which they wasted on Nablett)
