A lot of people have seemed to forget the great man (forget my bias) however he was sensational today down forward. Provided us a lot and kicked 4.2 was a great response to his critics. If he can pull those numbers he can win us a flag.

Look's absolutely ripped. Ther's no doubt a fit Otto & King are the keys. Just hope that they both get through the season.

Thanks RC, its good to know, Gaspar was a gun b4 his did his knee, so if you say that Matty couldnt of stopped him that is certainly saying something. Just hope he finds some consistency.

Gaspar was useless, but that is pretty much the Richmond backline anyway. Would be interesting this week against Port, to see if Otto can keep it going.

Usually the games in Darwin are real slugfests due to the late monsoon rain they get up there everyday. So big guys might not play so well.

Otto looked great, physically just looked awesome. He took his first mark way down, diving, then took a massive chunk out of the ground. I thought just for a second, ohhh no there goes his knee. Alas he got up and slotted it. I took a deep breath and said, maybe he is back to All Aust form.

King also looked quite good, although losing a lot in the tap out department in the first quarter. He was good around the ground and did his bit. If he can build on that, we are looking aok.

Saw the game. Ottens marked everything. I always thought that Ottens got a rough go, especially from the media. I just hope that people like Mike Sheahan, Robert Walls and Trevor Grant liked the taste of their words when they had to eat them.

Ottens and Mooney up forward can be a huge asset this year. This will be strengthened further when Tom Hawkins finally plays.

Anyway, I liked what I saw of Geelong yesterday. I'm not getting carried away, and may be like a coach this year. i.e. "We'll take it one week at a time", but if we play to that form regualrly this year, we should make finals.:) :thumbsu:

Yeah , not getting too carried away , RIGHT.
one week at a time , ha
Im just excited that Footys back, and we are looking good
But one week at a time

Go Otto!!

Great to hear that Brad's in good nick. If he can carry that through into the H&A season our forward line will look so much the better for it. We seem to have more options up forward with KK gone and a different set up in the works.

Fantastic also that he seems so fit and injury-free. This is what we've been waiting for.

Just watched the game again, was very impressed with his second and third efforts. Looks a lot quicker than last year therefore should be able to get to a lot more contests, this is all good for us.

Fingers, toes, legs, arms crossed for no injuries.

Great point. Wasn't there a fifth and sixth effort in one defensive passage of play -third quarter, IIRC- where Otto had little chance of stealing the ball (and didn't) yet desperately kept lumbering on, turning three full circles in the process? A match highlight that's sure to win over a few velodrome fans. Just as good as any of his marks.

My wife said it would have been the end of him after that passage of play. but when the ball came back down a few moments later he was font and center presenting. fingers crossed it is a great sign for this year. most of my mates are Richmond supporters so would love to rub it in...

He's an important cog, but I'll start talking about him as a person who can win us a flag when"

- We make the finals
- He plays a consistent year
