What was fantastic about that goal that Sewell kicked was the roar from the Hawthorn supporters that were there at the SCG it was like a finals atmosphere, one could have sworn that there were more Hawks than the Swans when that goal was kicked.
Ran into lots of Hawthorn supporters at Circular Quay and at Manly .
Also very impressed with the Trains and Ferry service spot on time and clean , i don't understand why we do not have those double decker trains here in Melbourne.

If they had double-decker trains, Melbourne would have to knock down every second bridge, overpass etc so that they would fit. And Melbourne has trams also. That's 2 pretty good reasons!!!

It struck me that when Joey left, sewell and the arrival of Burgoyne would be part of the reason - him thinking there was no place for him.

When Joey kicked his goal, I thought uh oh but ironically, burgers and Sewell were key in the win

Great goal. Didn't realise he could kick 50. Then again, not sure the Sydney 50 is a 50.
.
Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) 147m x 136m
Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) - Melbourne 160m x 139m
this is supposedly official
Doesnt seem like much between the square and the 50 arc at the SCG
Pretty sure its more than 6.5 metres between the square and the 50 at the G

The centre square is 50x50. That means 2x50m arcs + 50m centre square = 150m.

The SCG is only 147m long so the 50m arcs should overlap the centre square. Which means they're either not 50m arcs or the centre square is not 50m.

Was huge from Sewell, loved it. Just watching the replay of the goal before, looks like it was Sucko that gave Hodge the shepherd he needed. Good sign - well done son. :thumbsu:

And it was fantastic work by Mitch at the bounce to see Sewell and tap it out to his advantage.

SCG was extended 5 or so years ago, to 153m.

Incredible goal by Sewelly. Didn't even think he could kick that far anymore let alone that accurately (He clearly meant it ;))! Love his work, absolute bull at the contest.

Just watched the replay - what an EPIC goal to seal an awesome fightback victory. Massive effort from Sewelly!:thumbsu:

That was brilliant by Sewelly. Loved it. For a guy that doesn;t kick many, to come back on with a bung knee and bomb it from 50. Fantastic. Rapt for him.

Will make AFL 360 even sweeter on Tuesday

He's become a neutral favourite of mine because of seeing him every week on 360 and the first thing I thought was I can't wait for them to pump his tyres up on Tuesday haha! Great goal never thought i'd see Sewelly kick such a ripper.

Surely he's a lock for your best and fairest this year or damn near it

He's a fantastic player. One of my favourites for sure. Best goal I've seen kicked in the clinches in some time.

He'll go close to best and fairest but I'd say Mitchell will probably nab it in the end.

That certainly explains why it is easy to congest games at that ground.

I seriously said out loud...."Brad ******* Sewell - where the **** did that come from".

Great time to kick his 3rd career goal. :thumbsu: (yeah I know he has more than that....not many though :)).

Happy he kicked the goal. In those circumstances would have preferred him to hit up Buddy who was well in the clear. If Sewell misses they would have had a good 60 seconds to run the ball the length of the ground. In those circumstances Sewelly should have been smarter.
