He usually gets a lot of uncontested. Like Crisp, he gives us the best of both worlds. Great in a contest and also runs to receive and transition the footy.

Amusing that some of the commentators have finally noticed what a good player Maynard is. Some of the gushing during the last game reminded me of the rubbish that they produced for Rioli. I would love it if they could just present the play, without over the top praise of the better players.

There’s lots of people on this board who take great interest in the juniors as they come through and aren’t afraid to make predictions about who is going to make it and who isn’t.

They don’t always get them right but I do recall a lot of them were on the Maynard bus from day one. Kudos to the believers!!!!!

I love him, but I think Moore would also make a great Captain. Those two as C and VC would be like fire and ice, but neither any less elite than the other
