Precisely.
The MRO doesn’t care about the actual law. It was always going to be graded that way.
Only my two cents, but the key to beating the charge will now be in Christian’s official role. If, as Ralphy has hinted at with the tweet and again on Fox, he was reluctant to charge him he’d be the first witness I’d call in defending Maynard. Christian knows the machinations of the system better than anyone and if he didn’t feel it was a chargeable offense we’d need Lionel Hutz to stuff this one up.

Isn’t she supposed to be a Collingwood supporter?Obviously she’s bending over backwards trying to appear impartial, while stitching us up at the same time.
She's obviously trying to do a BT and trying to seem impartial but completely going the other way to the point where it's absurd.

Maybe the push is because the tribunal should clear him.
Collingwood people tend to feel they need to overcompensate, to appear impartial or unbiased.

It was entirely predictable that the case would be tested at tribunal. The public reaction today was so strong (both ways) that “nothing to see here” was never an option.

He’ll either get off because the impact couldn’t be reasonably foreseen (such as an accidental knee to the head in a marking contest) or he’ll get three weeks. There’s no middle ground. If the latter, we’ll appeal it all the way to the High Court if necessary.

Thankfully we have the extra week off. We might need every day of that to appeal it all the way.

Pretty simple - they are facing massive legal lawsuits for concussion cases
Simple arse covering to say they are protecting players and at least charging them
2 of the 3 tribunal members are ex players. He should be ok

Does this action by the AFL imply an automatic appeal from the AFL if he’s cleared? Or are they just making sure it gets heard ?
