What…?? Can’t change the rules now
too dangerous to smother? At least that concedes the point that Bruz was playing the ball.

Maynard could have also jumped over Angus too [emoji23]
I’m no lawyer, but it’s not how I’d prosecute it. The weird part is that it reads to me like he contradicts himself by first suggesting it’s an uncommon occurrence to attempt to smother the way he did only to then suggest players need to think about these actions and exercise DOC. How the **** are they meant to do both? If it’s uncommon the consequences are more often than not going to be unforeseen until it becomes common ala sling tackles that weren’t a thing 20 years ago.Sure is. Pretty weak prosecution hey.

HAHAH this is silly. Don’t jump on heads, don’t ever tackle and don’t kick when a player is on the ground then…
Reckon they must be tanking to help us win the Premiership they want us to winThis is a genuine piss take now from the AFL![]()

he didn’t jump forward though, he jumped as high as he could to impact the ball, his forward momentum from the approach carried him forward, the whole jumping vertically defies physics, ridiculous argumentI would have thought jumping forward to smother a ball at the lowest point possible is a reasonable action. What's next? Banning players from entering some mythical protection zone around the football when someone is attempting a kick?

If Woods is suggesting it was ok to smother, but he should have done a different smother whilst running at full pelt, then we are off to the races.he didn’t jump forward though, he jumped as high as he could to impact the ball, his forward momentum from the approach carried him forward, the whole jumping vertically defies physics, ridiculous argument
