Agreed if he hasn't been selected after his last month then it isn't form or impact - it's more than likely something the public don't know about.No clearer message that he is done and dusted at the Pies than not being selected this week.
Might be picked up by another club, but doubt it based on what he has delivered over the past 5 years.

You must think Sier is some kind of Demi-God. I doubt he has ever even been tagged in a game.Right. So lets really strike fear into the hearts of opponents by elevating someone like Rantall or McCrae to the inside mid position to replace Brown. That should cause a sleepless night for Port mids knowing that they will have to combat one of these two on Friday night!
His first game was very goodMcCrae has not done well when promoted to the AFL. He has been conspicuous by his absence in any game he has played. He is not ready to play senior football.
It’s actually very simple yet you fail to comprehend.I also don't know what he has done to deserve being overlooked week after week. If he had paraded naked and drunk in suburban streets like Sidebottom, ridden around in cars with gangsters shooting bullets into the air like Didak, we would be aware of his misdemeanours. He hasn't even been suspended and has been available for selection week after week.
This is another huge slap in the face for Hine. Sier as a 2nd round selection was our first pick in his draft, a left field Hine special and so unknown that there was no profile of him available. Given how easily Collingwood gave up on Stephenson, a player whose early misbehaviour resulted in a 10 week suspension, I am not surprised that Collingwood is unable to accommodate players who don't fit the puritan Buckley mold, but there is no information in the public arena that explains Collingwood's unwillingness to play Sier. Just guesses from BF posters who like to pretend that they know stuff that they don't.
You really are a sookIf I was Sier, I would be negotiating now with other clubs and refuse any invitation from Collingwood to remain at the club. Then I would eagerly await my first game against the Pies next year.
It’s actually very simple yet you fail to comprehend.
He isn’t selected because:
1. Maybe he fails to play to instruction and expectation on the field; or
2. He is on the outer for other reasons such as not meeting club expectations off-field.
We don’t know and it’s obviously one or the other or a combination of the two.
It’s really not that difficult.
The truth is he must have consistently failed to hit expectations.Sier surely is responsible for much of his shortcomings, no doubt.
But what many of us see is:
1. A club that has mishandled relationships with lots of players;
2. A team that has played a terrible style of defensive football that restricts players ability to contribute their strengths;
3. A club that has given way more chances to players with way less talent than to Sier;
4. A club that has given way more chances to players with way worse behavioural issues than Sier;
5. People assuming that the club has dirt on Sier that they withhold, despite any evidence;
6. A team whos major failing for several years has been inside mids;
7. A player who major shortcoming is struggling to build a tank , but has been injury interrupted for many years.
So its quite simple: we think the club didnt make the most of the opportunity to develop Siers talent, even accepting his shortcomings that many are eager to point out.
The truth is he must have consistently failed to hit expectations.
Some people can't be helped you know because they don't want to be.
this makes senseI think it's more a case that sier has already told the club he is moving on next year, and probably already has a suitor
And I've seen countless underperform all their lives.Ive seen so many people underperform at one job and thrive at a new organisation
Performance is in the eye of the beholder, there are plenty of pretenders out there making a good livingAnd I've seen countless underperform all their lives.
yeah! exactly! collingwood football club! theres no helping em!And I've seen countless underperform all their lives.
Well you have fun there with you little fixation and I'll just stop responding to your posts.yeah! exactly! collingwood football club! theres no helping em!
lighten up - not a personal attack mate.Well you have fun there with you little fixation and I'll just stop responding to your posts.
Says it all not being selected, chance to be sub though.Won't be at the club next year from a close source, Hawks are having a dig as well as North Melbourne.
May still feature in the midfield at some stage this year because you never know with our injury luck. But he's just not quick enough. Defensive aspects are questionable, gets away with it at VFL level, but not AFL.
you talking general attitude, or lack of elite fitness... or something more specific?Yes it has been badly mishandled
By Sier.
If that is correct.I think it's more a case that sier has already told the club he is moving on next year, and probably already has a suitor
McCrae has not done well when promoted to the AFL. He has been conspicuous by his absence in any game he has played. He is not ready to play senior football.
Sier commenced in 2016. In 2018 the Pies played in a grandfinal. In 2019 the Pies played in a prelim final. In 2020 a semi final. You make it sound like the club has been a basketcase and is the reason Sier hasn't had the opportunity to flourish.Sier surely is responsible for much of his shortcomings, no doubt.

and even more who haven't.Ive seen so many people underperform at one job and thrive at a new organisation
The new coach Harvey...Sier commenced in 2016. In 2018 the Pies played in a grandfinal. In 2019 the Pies played in a prelim final. In 2020 a semi final. You make it sound like the club has been a basketcase and is the reason Sier hasn't had the opportunity to flourish.
Sier has had every opportunity. In fact in 2018, Buckley had said he was fortunate to get an extension (unusual comment on your 1st pick in the draft and not receiving an automatic contract extension). Obviously there was an issue which may have been commitment/professionalism or whatever to make the club question it. But Buckley acknowledged he worked hard in the off-season and the result were some good performances in 2018. You think the club would then decide they don't want him to continue to improve? After then signing him up to a new contract????
The answers to your questions are quite simple. But first you need to ask why hasn't been given an opportunity in the second half of the season when he was given plenty of opportunity in the 1st half of the season?
Can I ask, do you know whether he is playing to instruction in every game? This is another coach who continues to not want him in the seniors. Is it that Sier continuously fails to play according to how the rest of the team is told to play and so puts his teammates on the back foot? The weakest link in the team?
Collingwood, i'm sure have wanted to win games. There is no reason to not pick Sier unless he either doesn't have the capacity to play a team game, or he refuses to.
It's too easy to say he got 25 disposals and so should be playing, without knowing what he isn't doing each week. It's an issue that he can't seem to fix the issue.
