I was sitting a couple of chairs away from Goodes and Barlow was next to him, I looked across when they were showing vision of all the South heros on the big screen, and I was very impressed at how much Barlow was concentrating on it, I couldnt help notice he was visibly inspired and was taking it all in, he went up a couple of notches in my opinion of him for that alone..

i know he wants 2 play at the highest level and i think we just need to give him the chances...his game on saturday was a big step up for him and i hope the coaches and himself take that in their stride and give him the nod for next week/the rest of the year/and next year

Barlow is an impressive young man. I agree. He just needs to be left alone & played every week as I have no doubt he must have been inspired last night. He will make mistakes but IMO, he has taken the biggest steps of ANY player in the last 5 weeks............& by geez he is tall.
That's all it takes. They just need to be left to use their natural talents for the remainder of the season without the fear of being dropped.
It was a great night Bez! Some of those players are just babies. We need to all get behind them & ban any constant negative posting on any one of these youngsters. They deserve to be given a go.

OK question.

If we thought we would like to play Hanners again do you think the club would do a fly in like the old days and like the Crows did with Dangerfield last year. Trust Xavier than Oakleigh with his training (Xavier, Melbourne Grammar, Haileybury and St Kevins train pretty seriously 3 times a week) or was this entirely a one off to ensure his juice is flowing for next year and his schooling comes first.

Would this build resentment with the club too much from those who are present in Sydney.

But if we did this if he's on any sort of scholarship Xavier may also get the shits.
