Would love to snare Jared Brennan to the Dee's, He's exactly what we need on gameday. JAMAR and BRENNAN would mean MFC has the most dangerous ruck duo in the comp.

Word is both Carlton and GC Suns are hunting him, I say we move mountains to get this guy, hes a gun. Also is a great contested mark.
While sharing the ruck duties he and Jamar resting in the forward line is a mouth watering prospect.

He will come at a price though, player + pick 12 imo.

Wildly impetuous and would add nothing to the team environement. Just strikes me as a selfish player who would rather do the spectacular than the team thing.

Plus, anything from the rabble in Brisbane is a big no. But if the MFC did go for him, we wouldn't give up pick 12. Brisbane have no bargaining chips at all because of their salary cap.

we are going to have an attrocious salary cap as well guys, most of our contracts will be brought forward because of how much they will want in the future. We will have done that will all the signatures signed this year as well.

Having said that I do also would love to have Brennan but if he wants shit loads we wont want him

We were 100 percent this year because of front loading contracts, there has been plenty of news about it.

It Brennan wants a lot of money Melbourne will not want him because in the next couple of years we will have to pay a lot more money for our current players. We need to look at the future as well as right now. If we were a genuine threat next year then hell go for brennan, but realistically I don't think we are... Obviously.

Yeah I know why we front loaded contracts, and i assume we did it again for the 5 newly signed players, and im sure we will keep doing it, to prevent from future troubles like brisbane with the salary cap.

And I think the front loading may have occured including next year. I could be wrong though

Great player but I dont think he would want to bleed for the club just money .. The Blues will be able to afford him (they will just give him a token job at Visy like they did with Judd) .. We just need a team to grow and develop together .. I think there are better people out there who would make a greater difference to our team .. just not sure if we would sell our soul to get them ...


Hopefully if not this year but the coming years we have people wanting to be part of something great .. like Alwyn wanting to play with his brother .. I think it was only a year ago he wanted Aaron to go to the Bombers ..

That's an excellent point, and one that I wholeheartedly agree with.

He's a player who tends to lose focus and drift out of games, and given that we play our best when everyone is fully committed to tackling and applying pressure to the opposition, I really don't think he's what we need at the moment, especially when you consider his wage demands.

Wildly gifted, but I'll pass on this occasion.
