Over it... Am really struggling after investing so much into what was promised this year... I thought Ratten had finally done it and surpassed the question marks on his capabilities... And now.. well I've begun to doubt the entire fabric... If we lose the next 4 convincingly (through lack of appropriate effort and attitude) well I would think alternatives would have to be under deep consideration, and if they weren't then I would begin to question the discretion of the up tops. Personally, and I may be unpopular to some, but I wouldn't mind waking up to a headline pertaining to Malthouse taking the reigns... I am just so seriously frustrated and emotionally exhausted with our current position that if something doesn't change (on-field or off) then values, transparency and respectability all come into question.
And feel free to shoot me down, but as a supporter I represent a percentage, and like you all I am entitled to voice my thoughts.

Watching AFL 360 and Mark Maclure's comments he is very critical of the club and not happy at all.
The fact that we are 2nd lowest in forcing turnovers in the last 5 weeks or so and our structures have not changed to address weaknesses.
The next four weeks will tell the story but if it's more of the same then our board and management will have a good hard look at Ratten if they haven't done already.
What happens from there who knows...

I think we will put up a better fist of it this week, but at the final siren we won't be taking home the chocolates, not smashed, just beaten by a side in a tad better form than us, ratts will probably view it as a step in the right direction, others will not.

If we're competitive and get beaten then you'd have to consider the injuries both KPP (No one above 192cm apart from Bower and Hammer are fully fit) and our midfield (Murphy, Carrots and Scotland) you'd be stupid to think we're not headed in the right direction. ..

Oh and I love how the nay Sayers are using the toughest 5wks of the year to put the pressure on Ratts and try and turn more here against it. .. Still a lot of Football to go this year. ..

I take two things from yesterday's presser; internally, the club is pretty sure that top 4 is gone, and that Waiter is a loooong way off. He was blowing a gale in the St Kilda game in the first qtr. Ratts stated he is losing fitness every day, nigh on impossible for him to come back and have the impact we need in 2012.

I still stand by my original statement at the start of this thread!
1. We are cruelled by injuries to alot of our better players and as such no coach could develop a gameplan
to deal with this issue.
2.Everybody needs to be patient and understand that on the road to success there will be setbacks and I for one still think Ratten is the man for the job!

So how do you explain the poor efforts from Garlett, Simpson and Gibbs over the past month? They are "leadership" players and the injuries don't have a bearing on them at all in terms of their attitude and effort. What about Kane Lucas? A high DP who was supposed to have a lot of skill where's he? He can't even break into the team even with all of these injuries. These players are not playing with any motivation or intensity so who's fault is that? Yes it's not entirely Ratt's fault BUT it is his job to get them motivated each week and clearly he hasn't been doing that.

The whole team's been playing with a lack of desperation and intensity for 6 weeks, there are only a few players who are busting their arse and when those players include Ellard and McLean then that is a clear indication we are in trouble (no disrespect to McLean and Ellard but LBH, they're not going to take us forward to premiership glory).

A good coach instils a desire to get the ball. Carlton, unfortunately can have the greatest gameplan in the world with the best players, but unless you actually get the ball, its pointless. Look at Richmonds attack on the football and compare it to ours.

Step 1 to winning a game is getting the football. It's not hard, but nigh on impossible for this club.

Our leaders like Garlett & Simpson & a number of others have been poor. I'd be playing Lucas, when he has played he's been thrown up forward, down back, no set position. Also placed on the bench / substitute a fair bit. Would like to see some more intensity from him though, but would play him before AJ (been given heaps more chances than most including Lucas, but AJ is still scarry). Lucas has been a little frustrating but he does have upside & needs more opportunity.

Think the players should be self-motivated, don't see why Ratt's should be having to motivate people to get out of bed when they're being paid $250,000. But Ratts' does lack an intensity that you see in Buckley, Worsefold, Malthouse - if a player isn't self-motivated they get a kick up the ar&$.

Really looking for some effort tomorrow night - part of the problem is the players' think they're tough nuts on contested ball. They're not.

Oh - another thing busted about the new site - attachments don't quote properly!
That would only be that I used snipping tool to get their avatars and then had to upload them as a file (copy and paste would quote ok - I think? Maybe I will try quoting a picture post too ;))
