Although I have the utmost respect for the way Moons turned his attitude around after 2006, does Cam need to unleash his beast a bit? Not to the extent where he was suspended 4 times in a season, but I'm wondering if he pushed the envelope a bit more this year and got opposition defenders fearful of what he might do again, whether that would help both him and the team. Cam has been playing great butI think he needs his mojo back.
A little 1-2 week rest mid season might be a small price to pay for having some opposition fear back in the F50. With Rooke and Chapman there as well, I would think there might be some very nervous defenders backing into packs...that means YOU Luke Hodge!

No....he's fine with his attack now. If he pushes it any further he will just get suspended.
I don't think an angry Cam Mooney would deter Hodge

Terrible idea. You know what a good idea is though? Teaching Mooney to not argue with the umpire after every single contest he loses. Seriously every time he does it, it's ludicrous. He's not far off Fev and his arguing with the umpire whilst ignoring the play 5m away.

Seriously I'm not actually advocating that he king hit anyone..I just think some of his natural aggression could be channeled a bit more...is there a middle ground between 2006 and 2008?

I agree with the umpire whinging point. Gazza used to do it all the time and since he's stopped he gets a far better run IMO

I honestly don't think he can channel it. He seems to have major anger issues. I haven't really seen him use his aggression in a positive way, say like a nice hip and shoulder. It's usually moronic headbutts and love taps that do nothing besides cost you a few weeks off.

I just want him to actually go back and kick the bloody thing when he gets it in the 50, unless there is someone WIDE open. Not kicking to a 50/50 because he's 35m out on a 45 degree angle.

I remember in 04 or 05 Mooney and Brad Johnson were going for a loose ball and Mooney got their first, picked up the ball and crunched into BJ as he stood up. Broken arm for Brad there.

Sad for Brad, of course, but that's the kind of thing I mean.
People need to understand that you can't just cherry pick in our forward line...Mooney, Chappy and Rooke can help them understand!

Play him up the ground a bit more - He frustrated the hell out of me last year - For me he didnt do enough - His best year by far was when he was in the ruck. If he is not getting his hand on it or not kicking goals (for god sakeyou and Johnno stop passing it around) play him off the wing - Like richmond does with Richo - get him into the game.

He could be a Jonathon Brown and dominate but to me he goes missing a bit. I know I am being critical and Geelong did have the best offencesive score in the league last year but i feel mooney could do more.

Bring back Mooney the goalkicker.

Yeah... Mooney needs to make changes from 2008, that's for certain. He never looked liked biffing anyone because he generally looked disinterested too often. A real arrogance has crept into him and I would finger him as being most affected by our flag win in '07.

Basically, he thinks his $hit don't stink... in 2008 it stunk!
