They'll get all their 5 first round picks on Monday. Ava Usher, Sunny Lappin, Georja Davies, Dekota Baron and Alannah Welsh. They have a bunch of list spots though because of AFL assistance and delisting/trading players, so will be interesting to see how many academy products they take in the whole draft,Alannah Welsh (rank 23) looks a good fit for the Lions.
Tied to the Suns so maybe we miss out. The Suns do have 4 others ranked in front of Welch. Can they fit all in?

The RMC profiles are a great resource. Just bear in mind that for the weaknesses, they’ll always list at least two, so they may not be as weak as you may suspect.Going on the write up below i had a look at a few mentioned. Mostly looking at the talls mentioned.
I have no idea about any of the ladies so only the highlights & Rookie Me Central power rankings that were done in September as a guide.
Herald Sun AFLW Phantom Draft: How the top 20 picks could fall in the 2025 AFLW DraftPICK 18: SYDNEY SWANS — MADELEINE QUINN (LIONS’ ACADEMY BID MATCHED WITH PICK 28)
In the mix: The Lions have done ample work on Quinn, with multiple sources expecting them to bid on her. Should the Swans be unable to match a Kiera Yerbury bid earlier in the night, they would almost certainly have the selection to ensure Quinn stays in Sydney’s set-up.
PICK 19: BRISBANE LIONS — EVIE COWCHER
Finally. But we stress, Cowcher could go a lot earlier than this. The Lions would find it mightily difficult to overlook Cowcher if she slipped this far, considering some believe she has the potential to be the best player in the pool and has been linked to clubs as early as the Giants (Picks 2 and 3). Cowcher is an exciting, supremely talented intercept defender. Despite being sidelined for a lot of her draft year due to back stress fractures, clubs have remained enamoured by her elite previous two seasons, which saw her win two WA MVP awards, two Under 18 All-Australian selections — as a 16 and 17-year-old — and the 2023 WAFLW Rising Star award. Cowcher shows great dash from half-back but also impressive composure with ball in-hand.
In the mix: The Lions appear destined to dictate how the rest of the first round plays out. You sense this is the latest Jordyn Allen will be taken in the draft, while the Lions could look closely at midfielder Tayla McMillan, who seems more like to be taken in the middle to later stages of the first round. Other options include WA defender Olivia Crane and SA forward/midfielder Lucy Waye, while this selection is probably the start of Ranges prospect Asher Fearn-Wannan’s draft range.
PICK 18: SYDNEY (matching Brisbane’s bid) Maddie Quinn
PICK 19: BRISBANE Priya Bowering (167cm midfielder, Tasmania Devils)
The Lions lost a bit of depth this trade period in Poppy Boltz (GWS), Ellie Hampson (Port Adelaide) and Taylor Smith (Brisbane). But Brisbane generally adopts a ‘best available’ approach and will be dictated by what happens further up the board. Lily Rose-Williamson should slot into Hampson’s role, while last year’s first round selection, Claudia Wright can replace Boltz. The Lions got shown up in the midfield in the grand final, which could point towards the likes of Mia Russo and Priya Bowering or even Jade McLay as a taller utility.
Would this be our first Father/Daughter selection if we draft Meg tonight? It'd be rude not to draft a Father Daughter prospect tbh
Brisbane and Hawthorn have lodged last-minute applications for father-daughter selections at Monday night's Telstra AFLW Draft.
The Lions are eyeing off Geelong Falcons tall Meg Lappin, the daughter of triple-premiership star Nigel.
Lappin, a versatile 179cm key position player, has developed through the Geelong under-18 program, given her father has been a long-time assistant coach with the Cats' AFL team. Still seen as relatively raw, the 18-year-old can line up at either end of the ground and is a very athletic prospect.
Nigel played 279 games for the Brisbane Bears and Lions between 1994 and 2008, captained the side in 2007 and 2008, and is a member of the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
Seems to be a few clubs interested in drafting het - Carlton, Collingwood, and the Saints. They'd have to do so without meeting her though. For the sake of the integrity of the competition I hope another club drafts Weston-Turner and not let her fall to #37 for North Melbourne. Absolutely farcical how this blatant draft tampering has played out in the media.
Riley Beveridge on X has said he thinks she makes it to North Melbourne. Shocking result!Seems to be a few clubs interested in drafting het - Carlton, Collingwood, and the Saints. They'd have to do so without meeting her though.
Fox Footy also said rival clubs expect us to do due diligence on her. We'll see tonight if she gets to North or not.
Weak by all clubs involved tbh. Says more about her than anyoneRiley Beveridge on X has said he thinks she makes it to North Melbourne. Shocking result!
Was reading on the Dogs board that her attitude ever since being drafted was like she didn't even want to be at the Dogs.Maybe there is a reason why no one is interested. Perhaps no one rates her?
I wouldn't have described Graham as a wing from the clips I've seen. Looks a classic on-baller with good disposal. Two wingers with no right foot.....
Orla and Asher I was referring to.....sorry.I wouldn't have described Graham as a wing from the clips I've seen. Looks a classic on-baller with good disposal.
In her bottom-age season of 2024, Graham averaged 19.5 disposals, 3.4 marks, 7.4 tackles and 3.5 inside 50s, while kicking six goals in her 11 games for the Northern Knights. A spot with Vic Metro followed, and she gained a great experience as a bottom-ager through the national carnival. While missing out on the National Academy, Graham made the Vic Metro summer hub and went from strength to strength.
Though injury would strike in her top-age season keeping the talented Knights leader to just five games, she racked up 27.4 disposals, 3.4 marks, 5.3 clearances, 6.2 tackles and booted three majors in that time. After missing the first game with Vic Metro, Graham returned to the ‘Big V’ and played out the remaining matches, averaging 17.3 disposals, 2.3 marks, 3.3 clearances and 8.0 tackles rotating between the midfield and attack.
It was no surprise the talented ball user earned a National Draft Combine invite, and would be in first round contention given her wide array of weapons. Boasting an elite tank and plenty to like, she is a player who can fit into any club, as highly regarded off the field as she is on it.
