Brisbane Lions Trade Thread (#2)

We should have got the bombers involved in this trade when Riskas name was mentioned.

Nevertheless, the Blues would surely have to take MacDonald - theres no turning back now, Judd gave the Blues an ultimatum. Lions will need to stand firm on this.

Cheers TBD - means heaps coming from "the main man"

 Settle Vossie. Time to turn the John Paul Young off and refocus on the football.

If that was your second post, you average just dropped by half. :p

Go Lions

Good point 3KZ - i was taken in by the moment :) .... I'll be back on my game tomorrow - this draft is consuming me!!!

The Swans used pick 39, 46, and 70 to get Kennedy, and McGlynn.

They also used pick 28 to get Mumford.

Now the Swans know how to trade without giving up much for good young solid players who actually have an upside unlike our four duds. For mine, great news about Rischa, what a loyal Lion unlike a few of you here. Hopefully Braddy does the same and that knob doesn't come to the Lions. If only we traded like the Swans I would have been a lot happier.

The Swans have cap space to burn. We don't.

They offered Mumford 1 million over 4 years.

Feedback on the Facebook page is distinctly anti-Fev.

It's called the "Angry Men of the Internet" effect.

People always complain when they are angry, but rarely enthuse about things when they are happy.

Just saw the news footage of Braddy and Rischa Melbourne, talk about cringe-worthy. Absolutely disgraceful we have put two great club servants through that. Either way, if they stay or go, damage is done although it was plainly obvious neither of the boys wanted to be there. To be honest, I couldn't give a stuff either way now because the soul of the club has been destroyed, just really sad what both of those boys went through, it was embarrassing.

Oh god... can you bring the hysterics down just a fraction? Its getting a little repetitive.

Rischitelli's manager Rick Olarenshaw said last night that his client's decision to reject Carlton's offer was based on his wish to stay in Queensland, from where his girlfriend hails, and a desire to stick with coach Michael Voss and the Lions.

''He's staying in Brisbane,'' said Olarenshaw last night. ''He's got a Queensland girl, long-term partner, and he's happy in Queensland. And he loves playing for Vossy.

Doesn't sound like much damage has been done to me.

If Carlton want this deal to happen, they will have to accept Bradshaw + MacDonald (the herald sun claims that Brisbane is substituting him despite there being very little interest in him during the week).

Possibly Bradshaw + MacDonald + Pick 60 for Fevola + Pick 76?

As TBD has stated numerous times, if we can snare Fevola and still hold on to Hendo and pick #12 then we have done considerably well.

It all comes down to whether or not Carlton really want to get rid of him.

Oh and for those interested, if Shane Tuck is not on our list by 2:00 tomorrow then he ain't coming to Brisbane. Just read an article about Simmonds that mentioned at the bottom that Tuck is contracted for another year.

So no PSD for us!

No one has shown any interest in him anyhow...

Let Sydney have him.

He's not worth getting in a bidding war for.

And not worth the dividing of the supporters for my liking. You know I am all for a premiership and the hurly burly that goes with getting a team together to win one but Fevola's personal history is a bit to close to the bone for many.

in the event that brisbane still wished to consummate a fevola trade, the likely options either involved other players and bradshaw, or its first draft choice. One possible scenario would be that lachlan henderson, brisbane's first selection in the 2007 national draft and eighth overall, could form part of a deal.
