Leave them here.

I didn't see enough of the game to vote and I just rewound the tape and intend taping over it without watching it.Collingwood-Bulldogs and South Adelaide-West Adelaide were more entertaining.

5. Goodwin - One of the few players in the team playing to his ability

4. Edwards - appreciated the move onto the ball and gave plenty of drive.

3. Johncock - best of the forwards with 4 big ones.

2. Stenglein - good effort at CHB to keep Pike to a very moderate game in a domlnant side.

1. Hentschel - showed he is more than up to it at this level if played in the right position.

Special mentions to both Stevens and Clarke who both made good contributions.

Best Team Man

3. McGregor - competed well at CHF and having a target to aim at
straightened us up quite a bit.

2. Stenglein - as above

1. Edwards - as above

Rookie

1. - Hentschel - as above

Well done to Schuback as well.

Best on Ground

5 - Simon Goodwin - Battled hard all day. His duel against Balck was good to watch and he probably had better of Black

4 - Tyson Edwards - I thought he had a good game. I don't think he is playing at his best but he is having a pretty big impact.

3 - Graham Johncock - This bloke is quite freakish. Kicked 4 goals and did some good things. Can we afford to move him out of the forward line into the midfield??????

2 - Tyson Stenglein - A fantastic job on Pike. Going into the game I had Pike as one of the players to stop and Stenglein did a fantastic job today.

1 - Scott Stevens - About the only bloke who can take a contested mark in our forward line. He got a hands on a few that he dropped and his kicking needs work but he was good today.

Best Team Man

3 - Stenglein - See above. We could have done with 2 Stenglein's today. 1 for Pike and 2 for Voss

2 - Ken McGregor - He bettled hard at CHF but I like him more at CHB. Play Perrie at CHF and Kenny at CHB.

1 - Wayne Carey - He got beaten by Michael today (but who doesn't), Considering the delivery he had, he battled manfully today its just pitty that our crumbers aren't real smart. Duck gave a contest today

Rookie

1 - Trent Hentschel - Probably the best hgame he has played. I think he should be played down back. He is much better in defence than up forward. He reads the play well and kept Bradshaw pretty quiet today. Bradshaw only kicked 1 goal on Trent today.

Schuback is very unlucky. He definetly deserved a vote. His left foot kick is very accurate.

BOG

5. Clarke (won the taps, even took a mark or two)
4. Edwards (was in amongst a lot of the action throughout)
3. Johncock (about our only regular goal kicker)
2. Stevens (gave us a focal point up forward)
1. Massie (did some good things)

BTM

3. Clarke (as above)
2. Goodwin & 1. Gallagher (at least I think I saw these two on the bottom of packs)

Rookie

1. Schuback (did some nice things in the middle, was going to give it to Hentschel but I thought he faded as the game wore on)

I concur with everyone -
1. Goodwin

2. Stiffy

3. Hetschell/Edwards

Mention to Smart for a great effort - considering his age, and last season. Pity others didn't at least put effort in.

Best Team Player:

1. Stenglein

2. McGregor

Rookie

Hentschell

Al the rookkies did a good job, it wasn't their fault the result was what it was.

Dishonourable mentions:

Macca, Biglands, Roo, Burton (midfield)

5. Goodwin - Good start to the year after a few disappointing seasons.
4. Edwards - Gave us a bit of run.
3. Johncock - Flashy as always.
2. Smart - Gave good drive from defence and I thought did a great job on Vossy, his goals weren't from Smarty's lack of effort.
1. Stenglein - Did his job on Pike.

Best Team Man
3. Massie - Tried his guts out. Was one of the few that stood up in the first 20 minutes.
2. Gallagher - Put his body in, very disappointed he didn't start. Clean disposal as always.
1. Smart - As above.

Rookie
1. - Hentschel - Very impressive. Read the ball well. Showed good skills and that Ayresy scr*wed up playing him forward last week.

ROOKIE
1- Reils.
It was great to see that all the rookies performed really well on Saturday and it's unfortunate we can only give votes for one. Potential was exactly that, but IMO I thought Radar was more deserving of the award because he played on Aker for almost the whole game and was far from disgraced. He also had a stint on Simon Black and Hart, and for that alone I think he deserves it.

Also a mention to Schuback who tried his heart out. He reminds me of Matty Bode in that he goes in and under and doesnt care about the body. Fierce contributer. :D

And I hope that the players learn next week that Wayne Carey isnt THE ONLY blo0dy person up foward we can kick to. We are becoming too Carey conscious because we are continually kicking the ball to him. He wasnt taking the marks up foward and we shouldnt keep making the same mistakes. We should be thinking of something more productive to do rather than kicking the ball straight to the duck when its clearly not giving results everytime:mad:

Except that Schuey's kicks are infinetly better.

He actually reminds me a bit of Simon Goodwin, in the way he moves and marks over head. It must be 6s that they share in their numbers:p

BTW. Schuey if you are reading this congratulation on becoming a father. Only 98 more games for you to play for the Crows and we can pick the lad under the father son rule. :p :)

Good game by the Crows, we were just beaten by the better team.

Player of the year
5. Goodwin - Tried his heart out and really put it. Finding some form and is nearly back to his best.

4. Johncock - Always made a contest and converted well. Very consistent.

3. Massie - Tried really hard, fluffed up at times but was still one of our best.

2. Reilly - Played on very good opponents all day, and like RADAR said, was far from disgraced. Good effort.

1. Stevens - Impressive. Found the ball a lot, but failed to convert unfortunately. If put in the backline, could be damaging to opposition.

Best Team Man
3. Goodwin - see above
2. Massie - see above
1. Schuback - Kicked well and put in a contest. Very impressive, did all the hard things, very good effort.

Rookie of the Year
Schuback - Like I said, did all the hard things and proved that he's part of the team. Hentschel must also get a mention, for his discipline and ability in the backline.
