Farmer didn't replace him. The reason we traded him was because we didn't think the small forward option was working for us. Medders was predictable in his latter games at Freo. Every time he got the ball in the forward pocket near the boundary he would wheel around and try to snap it. Failed more often than not. Farmer's run and chase alone outweighed Medders skills.

Yeah, Farmers run and chase was great, it's just a shame most of it was directed at whoever happened to be carrying a cold stubbie at the time.

Medders was always capable when playing for us, noone ever doubted that, it was wether or not they could function along side each other that was the issue. As it turned out, we backed Farmer over Medhurs, who then went on to score a gig in the AA team. Fail.

Don't really see the comparison at all there. He'd be more like Silvagni but with a better kick and better closing speed. Doesn't remind me much of MJ, unless it's the third tall/undersized KPD angle.

He's a better one-on-one defender than MJ, but isn't as creative a kick.

No club in the league would pay higher pick 20 for Broughton. He's not that good.

If you beat the other teams match winner, that makes you a match winner.

No he's not. 'His day', as with a lot of marginal Hawks players, was the GF. They didn't come up. Young wouldn't be best 22 for us.

I think you'll find played more than 1 good game during his career at Hawthorn.

Hooker gets played over Pears because he is a genuine key position size. He is taller and heavier.

Pears is the same height as Barlow and shorter than Mundy. This all applies to Silvani too.

Pears has lousy disposal and isnt top 22 at Bombers. Tayte is not worthy of a game. He's steak knives not a match for Broughton. All this talk smacks of desperation, lets not throw away Broughton without fair compensation.

If we have to resort to trading a good player for dregs we really do need to roll Bond and Co. We need to be chasing higher picks or at least legitimate key position players not players who could be delisted.

Having said that unless we get a good deal we wont trade Broughton.

He had one good season at Collingwood when he left (50 goals). His other 3 seasons were less than serviceable. In fact in 2008 (The Wiz's last season he scored more than Medders. Can't really say it was a fail.
