Sad to hear, Watched browny since he came to the dogs as a 17yr old!
I would be lying if said i didnt think back and smirk at browny for leaving us to play finals, i really would.
But the guy is a champion footballer and was one of my fav players, unfortunatley im with others in thinking that he will never be the player he was. The first 9 games of 05' was probly the best form he was ever in too.

lol at browny coming to play finals, the bloke has said the only reason he came is for money and the best thing about him is that he doesnt give a **** what people think

those 9 games were quality 4 match winning performances

to think we were aiming for the top 4 after that :o

Poor management & not just Brown,Coughlan etc I know we had to save money etc but surely cant we get someone in who knows how to treat players & manage these issues. What is Brown doing running around in the country (in the middle of a drought) playing practices matches with his background.& why do they continue to lie to us saying he was right & even naming him when they would have known about this prob 10 days ago.Enough of stringing us along!

So it's ok to have an underdone player running around when the real stuff starts?.Practice matches are designed to get the players match fit and ready for the proper season.Wrapping up players in cotton wool isn't going to help your cause any better, they need to be match fit.Only brown is the one who knows how his body is feeling and not the medical staff and far as he was concerned he was feeling ok until a few weeks ago.

Hate to say it but Browney is edging closer to my departure lounge at Tigerland come season's end. Not at all his fault and at his best he is a gun but the club needs an independent decision made on his future, and to cut it's losses if bad news is the outcome.

He will be ok. Just having some problems with his leg.

Somehow I think it will all even itself right out because I have my doubts on Fev playing in the first round with that tear on his knee.

How would we go at years end in contract negotiations if say for instance he has another stop start year like last year ? He would nearly be our top money earner, but surely we couldn't resign on the same sort of money with the uncertanty of his leg & not based upon what he could do previously.Maybe a incentive based contract (games played & perfrmance etc) I only bring this up as i thought he signed a 4 yr deal & it would be a tricky situation!

I think some potentially long term errors where made in Brownies re-hab, which hopefully do not seem to have been repeated with Newman.

Still nothing anywhere but the Herald Sun report. Could all be bullsh*t?
Wallace confirmed it this morning. Heard him myself. Said they won't do a thing with him for at least another 10 days, so he is effectively ruled out of round 2 as well.

we creamed the blues late last year without browny and we should do it again at the G

first game was the worse match i have ever seen it was pathetic

2nd game we played a cracking gameplan but carlton wanted bryce gibbs so dont get too excited

agreed, dont string us along, they knew about this 10 days ago..

relax and pop a valium everyone, he'll be right to go round 3, at the latest round 4. The bone is fine, the muscles have regenerated, just a minor hiccup. His speed and skill are still there if youve seen him at training or in any praccy matches
