Who do you think will match up on Brown this weekend?
I didn't this Egan played well against Port, but he has been given the big power forwards in the opposition each week this year. Or do we play Matty Scarlett on him? I think if Brown plays out of the square then we should play Scarlett on him. But If he plays out at CHF then play Egan on him.
Also what other match-ups would you have.

Is Egan down on confidence at the minute?? Either way they will probably go Ego first crack then Scarlett if needed.

Clark will be playing FF and Brown CHF, so I think Egan should get Brown and Scarlett Clark because of the height difference.

i think you have to go with egan. if memory serves me correctly he did a pretty good job on him in r12 although he didnt see much of it and in the wet. but considering brown was their only option that day a 2 goal return is a tick for the defender. yes he has had the big jobs all year so i see no reason to change the structure in the last round. scarlett to go to mitch clark and tommy to probably get brennan, leave ash mcgrath for hunt i'd say.i'm pretty confident egan will get brown. i reckon they'll probably get dash to drop down and help out too

I'm thinking Scarlett might be better. Ego seems to get the hands in the back a fair bit, while Scarlett is smarter with his spoils. Then he can be double-teamed with Milburn or Mackie as the loose men in defense.

Yeah i think Scarlett if he goes deep but if he stays around the 50m and beyond
i think Egan will get him.

Having said that there's no way that Brisbane can win if Brown doesn't kick
a bag so he'll have to play deep.

So Scarlett (with everyone else leaving their man and helping out)

Personally I'm not sure it'll matter much who plays on him.
Our midfield will be so pissed off about last week, that Brown will be lucky if he gets many balls kicked into the 50!

Remember, the last time we lost, it hurt so much we came out and won by 157 points. I'd be afraid if I was Brisbane.

Hmm...McGrath's fractured his ulna and is out for the season. Rhan Hooper's suspended too. Another possibility: Harley spanked McGrath earlier in the year, Bomber may try Harls on Brisbane's third best small, and throw Mackie the job of Brennan. With Enright and Hunt playing, will there be a match-up for DJ? He could be a tagging option if Ling hasn't recovered or he'll find himself out, it depends how much time Boris is required to spend in the middle.

You're right about Dasher, Bingle. He'll be filling Brown's leading space and intercepting any loose deliveries from their midfield. Jonny-boy really is the key, he's kicked 70 of Brisbane's 268 goals this season; the next highest contributor -the aforementioned luckless McGrath- has 22.

Isn't today's weather glorious??

even better with no mcgrath. glad to be wrong about that.
dash would put himself infront of a raging bull if need be.

Byrnes on Jonathan Brown??? Very funny - has been deleted for obvious reasons.
