Okay boys and girls.

Important stuff here...

Is he in your round 1 22 and will he be able to stay there?

Information would be good.

With Farmer out, he will play until at-least round 6..yes?

Help me out here, cheers.

Every indication is he will be in the best 22.

I would have him more covering for Schammer than Farmer though. The guy is all heart and will give everything every time he crosses the line.

He'll play round one. Whether or not he stays in there depends on how he performs, but on preseason form he should be a regular.

I love it when people start threads on our board to get tips for their dreamteam.

I'll take 2007 Browne over 2006 "fit" Schammer. Schammer is going to have to do a LOT to be better than what Browne has shown us in the preseason. Both are short players and can play the same positions roughly, so yeah they will be competing for their spots between each other. And unless Browne goes bad or Schammer improves on his 2006 I can't see him coming back for a while.

Can't remember who said it but maybe Pav? said it was great having Browne back in the team.. maybe he is more popular too.

Everything I've ever heard points to Scham being pretty popular round the club too. Stories of him being a cheeky little bugger, following Bell round like a puppy and getting up to mischief. I always get the impression the other lads are quite fond of him.

I was under the impression that the Sledge was always following Shaun Mac around.I remember a couple of years ago when Macca was dropped from the side to play Richmond in Melbourne that Sledge said that the win was for Macca.Maybe things have changed.

I think you're reading too much into that. i think the comment was made - by Pav as well as CC and Harvey - more for the incredible perseverence Browney has shown through all his injuries, and the fact that he's finally fit again, rather than a perceived sledge against Schammer.

Apparently he said before he was drafted that Belly was his role model and when he arrived at the club he followed him around trying to do everything Belly did in an effort to prepare himself in the same way as the great man. I remember a story where early on - maybe in his first game, he grabbed two tennis balls and tried to copy Belly's routine for sharpening his reflexes and focussing his mind before a game, where he throws both balls against the wall at the same time and then catches them in both hands. Apparently Schammer still had a bit of practice to go before he was able to match Belly's ambidexterity!!

Maybe that was more for the general respect Macca has around the club, rather than a personal thing...

ok.. so that explains his disposal early last year.

Browne and Drum will both play for the first handful of games.

I honestly don't see the comparison between Browne and Schammer. Browne has always been a forward flanker ever since I was at school with him and Schammer has always been a midfielder with stints forward and back.

I'd take Schammer over Browne in the Freo 22 without a doubt. Schammer is a 10 year player, Browne is a handy list player

I love Brownes uncompromising play. He lays everything on the line.

But lets not forget that Schammer was nearly BOG in our first ever finals win. There is definately room for both in the team.
