So who do we all think is going to the the most Brownlow Votes from the Crows?

Thompson or Van Berlo. As far as I could tell these two guys would be the only shot at getting the most votes. Looking to chuck them in a multi with Franklin and Judd to win their respective clubs at $20 to 1.

Bock should also get a few. Backmen usually don't but from CHB and with his runs down the ground he should have caught the umpire's attention.

The other person would be Burton before he was injured, probably not higher than Thompson though.

Round One - Loss to WB - Thompson, 18 Possessions - No Votes

Round Two - Win over WC - Thompson, 25 Possessions - I Predict 1 Vote as Mcleod had 31 P's and Goodwin kicked 7 goals and had 24 Possessions

Round Three - Win over PA - Thompson, 27 Possessions - I predict 2 votes, as PA players had better individual performances than Adelaide players - eg P Burgs had 41 possessions

Round Four - Loss to HH - Thompson, 27 Possessions - I predict no vote, better individual performances again from the Hawks players, Bateman, Crawf, and Franklin

Round Five - Win over FD - Thompson, 20 Possessions - I predict no vote, McLeod was a star with 34 possessions, and so was Birdman, Goodwin.

Round Six - Win over CB - Thompson, 33 Possessions - I predict 3 votes here. Unless Johncock steals the 3

Round Seven - Win over NM - Thompson, 28 Possessions - I predict 2 votes here. The Porps went nuts in this game.

Round Eight - Win over MD - Thompson, 20 Possessions - I predict no votes.

Round Nine - Loss to WC - Thompson, 32 Possessions, NO VOTES for any Crows player. Unless the umps felt sorry for us then Thompson might get 1 votes

Round Ten - Win over EB - Thompson - 33 Possessions - I predict 3 votes

Round Eleven - Win over RT - Thompson, 23 Possessions and 6 goals - I expect 3 votes

Round Twelve - Loss to HH - Thompson, 33 Possessions - I predict no votes, the game speaks for itself

Round Thirteen - Loss to BL - Thompson, 15 Possessions - I predict no votes, the game again speaks for itself

Round Fourteen - Loss to GC - Thompson, 22 Possessions - I predict no votes, the game was a forgettable effort for the Crows

Round Fifteen - Loss to CM - Thompson, 36 Possessions - Even though he had great stats I don't think he will poll any votes here

Round Sixteen - Loss to PA - Thompson, 16 Possessions - Again No Votes

Round Seventeen - Win over SS - Thompson, 20 Possessions - I doubt he will pick up votes here, Edwards, McLeod, Symes, and Knights had clearly better games than Thompson. No Votes

Round Eighteen - Win over CB - Thompson, 23 Possessions - He lacked to have an impressive influence on the game itself I thought. No Votes

Round Nineteen - Win over RT - Thompson, 24 Possessions - Again lack to have an impressive influence on the game, Doughty, McLeod, and Van Berlo were the stars. No Votes.

Round Twenty - Win over EB - Thompson, 31 Possessions - He has to atleast pick up 2 Votes here, Van Berlo had a great game.

Round Twenty-One - Loss to SS - Thompson, 16 Possessions - I don't think Crows players can possibly poll for this game.

Round Twenty-Two - Win over WB - Thompson, 16 Possessions - Doughty, Van Berlo, McLeod had better games than Thompson here. No Votes

Thats my generous predictions which gives him 16 votes I think so far. Take away a couple of votes and I personally think at this point he will be sitting on about 10 to 13 votes in total

Please share your thoughts, sorry if I missed anything. Personally I have a strange feeling this years Brownlow is going to be a TIE!!!! And the winners are.....Bartel and Ablett

Yeah but think back to the actual game, all those touches were nothing ones across HB.

The reason Thommo polls highly is that the umpires see him alot at the bottom of every pack.

A much better footballer than myself told me the way he got all his votes was to be the one who gave the ball back to the umpire for a ball up. There is an element of truth to this.

Personally I pegged him between 12-15 votes and vB around 10-13 so it could be close. I eventually went with Thommo in my bets.

Thommo to win the Brownlow My dark horse is Ablett though

MY smokie: Bernie Vince. Had a lot of games where he was close to BoG earlier in the year.

Thompson, Bock and Goody will start the best and vB and Edwards will come home fairly strongly.
