I'm not interested in his or anyone elses sexual preferences when watching the football. What I am interested in is hearing commentary that is accurate, balanced and fair to all parties.

Bruce drools at just about everything these days and has lost the plot. Has passed his use by date as a commentator and should be replaced.

Dennis Cometti's performance has also slipped this year. Some of the stuff he says is absolutely nonsensical. As an example in the course of one passage of play earlier this year, he made the startling observation that "so and so is older today than he has ever been".

Well thanks Dennis, nice to know that. As a matter of fact I am actually just a little older right now than I was when I started typing this.

I'm in the NTTAWWT camp too. However, there are too many occasions to mention where posters on this board say something is 'jizz worthy', announce that they're leaving their computers with tissues and will 'back in a minute' or pronounce that they want to get Jack up here cos they wanna 'boof' him or comments along those lines.

Now that's fine if people want to post in that manner - it does make me cringe a little too but each to their own. However, for members of this board to criticise others for doing something similar, now that's a bit rich.

That's the point right there. Bruce is getting away with it because to criticise is apparently to be homophobic. However, his sexually suggestive commentary would not be appropriate for a male commentator talking about a female athlete so why do we permit him to objectify and leer over male athletes?

I think the fact that he is a paid professional that is employed wholly and solely to describe the game to Television viewers, he should be held accountable when his commentary is of a below average standard.
