Cruyffy where are you? Still in Europe? Did you get to any gigs in Europe?

Thanks for the videos. Loved Blinded by the Light but not sure about For You.

For those that didn't pick it they were from the 5 song pre show acoustic set by the Boss in Helsinki on 31st of July. That was he show where the main show went for over 4 hours. See the set list at Cruyff's post #664 at;

The you tube subscriber wildandinn has put what looks like the whole pre and main show up on his you tube channel at;

Yeah still in Europe. In London until I head home. Nah no gigs, literally had no time to do anything when on tour, there were so many things scheduled and we were always occupied.

Also this is well worth checking out!

Vini!

Still 20 shows to go as well. There's no way they'll all summon the enthusiasm to get out here after Christmas if December 6 is the final date. :(

Am I right in saying this was his first show at the new Meadowlands stadium?? A homing coming of sorts.

Pulled some great old classics. Rosalita has been getting a good run lately. Has gone back to the Rising a fair bit with Waitin' On a Sunny Day, My City of Ruins and The Rising have been getting a good run.

Cruyffy any idea why he has only played This Depression 3 times this tour?

RussellEbertHandball

Yes, it is his first show at the new Metlife Stadium in Jersey.

Rosie will always get a good run, especially in places like Philly and Jersey. The Rising has featured prominently all tour, and will continue to do so on coming tours, an absolute stellar track IMO and definitely one of his best, and a fan favourite too I think. My City of Ruins is getting heavy play because of Clarence's death I think. Waitin' is just there because I think it gives the crowd a go to have even more fun and lets the band loosen up a bit too.

No idea actually, there are always songs an albums that miss out, he might play it more if he feels it is relevant I guess.

Did you watch those videos Russ?

Did you watch those videos Russ?

Yep and I enjoyed them heaps.

I have some questions about the pre show accoustic set. Don't know if you know the answers. How long before the show does he do it? How do you get an invite to them and who gets an invite? How many people usually get to go to it?

For the the last couple of years whenever I watch Freo games and hear the commentators say Mundy ... gets the ball, I can't help but think of "with out you" from the 1995 Blood Brothers video/dvd doco.

I know the Boss says Monday rather than Mundee as some say it, but I gues the way he emphasises Monday at the start of each verse is the connection for me.

People in the pit get treated to it, so if you're in the first GA section, you'll see it.

And I'd assume an hour or so before he's due to come out, but not sure on that.

Did you like the cover of Jungleland?

The first two lines of the song the singer sounded just like Bruce, then you could pick his normal voice. I just love the piano introduction of that song and if you don't get that wrong you stuff up the song, but they got it right. I initially though the sax player was poor but he built up and belted out that fat sax sound beautifully.

Sax player is great, absolutely nailed the solo for me, they're a very solid band.
