Hey Carlton guys - tell me if i'm wrong: IIRC... Pagan quit the Kangaroos in 2002 being successfully poached by John Elliot... was also given a nice big contract... then the Blues' money troubles and salary cap shenanigans came to light, so the board went cap in hand to Pagan, asking for hit to cut his pay - so he did, then thanks to the board he was screwed in the draft for a few years, before finally being sacked for not getting a team of nobodys to perform. To leave that club with his head high after they completely screwed him took class.

Best of all, the team's had three #1 draft picks in a row (Murphy, Gibbs, Kreuzer) and just picked up some bloke named Judd. It seems cheating & mediocrity have won out here folks.

Hilariously, Paul Roos is more of a match-fixer than Carlton's coaching and playing staff from the last six games of last year. He was (ridiculously) investigated, they weren't - again, IIRC Demetriou came out without being asked and said they weren't tanking. Yeah, thanks buddy.

And these are the guys that resigned Gibbs? When you're ready to play for a club with class, give us a ring mate.

you were a big fish in the suburban comp, a bully in your playground. When you had to step up into the national comp, you finds yourself out of your depth with the real big boys.

Ive got to chuckle at those who think Judd is going to be there for a long time. I'm not all together sure his body will agree with that. Anyways, you'd be a goose not wanting to play with arguably the best in the business (aka Judd), that would have to be a huge drawcard.... but if Carlton doesn't start having success, and Judd retires, they will lose Gibbs.

Why, take the I out of your name and you're just a bunch of ass.

But i don't see any denials of my vague recollection of how Carlton treated Pagan, or tanked the last six matches last year.

Plus, if you can count all the Premierships you won in your suburban mickey-mouse competition 100 years ago, then Port Adelaide should be able to count all of theirs, which makes them pretty much twice as successful as you. And twice as classy.

Pfft Gibbs was one of the worst number one draft picks since Clive Waterhouse! Id rather see Adelaide bring Mark Jamar back to North Adelaide than the return of Bryce Gibbs...

The same Clive that played over 100 games, kicked plenty of goals and then had his career ruined by injuries. He was a fine footballer, just a pity his body packed up on him.
On Gibbs he will turn out to be one of the best #1 picks ever, remember how long it took Hodge to get into the swing of things? There is no doubt in my mind Bryce will be one of the best going around within 4-5 years.

It's no longer about discussing Gibbs' decision to re-sign with the blues.
