Should have been gone before this season. This will be the 4th year in a row now where the club has failed to make finals when making finals was the club's expectation. That's simply unacceptable in a results based industry. If he wasn't a legend of the club as a player, he wouldn't still be there as coach.Gone.
Hard to disagree with this analysis but still think the team's better than most 5-7 teams you'll see. GWS and Melbourne losses obviously could have gone either way. Kicked ourselves out of it more than anything against the Dogs, hard a lead we couldn't properly capitalize on against Richmond. Most teams could play this game but taking all these games individually we really aren't that far off being a 6-6 or 7-5 team at this stage.
Lots of 50/50 games for Collingwood in the back-end of the year. Individually I don't see a game we can't win (maybe Port at AO) but whether we can be consistent enough to go 7 from 10. Think we need to get to 8-8 to be a reasonable chance. Games coming up against Port (MCG), Hawthorn (MCG), Essendon (MCG) and GC (MO). Certainly not impossible to win 3 of those but certainly far from a lock.
So...
Are our results because Buckley is a bad coach?
Or is it because the players are poor?
...And don't go back to referring to the 2010 team, because that is not the team he has anymore...

Yeah, I'm sure we're the first bottom ten side to ever suffer a five goal loss to a top four side. Better chase up the exit forms!Gone.
You didn't even come close.Clutch game coming up against the Power - who will be playing for league-wide recognition and a top four chance. We absolutely have to win that one.
So things are getting worse by the look of itYeah, I'm sure we're the first bottom ten side to ever suffer a five goal loss to a top four side. Better chase up the exit forms!
Just for the sake of some context, that 31 point loss was our heaviest defeat for the season.
5-8 and plagued by the same issues as at the start of the season, never fired a shot. Given it's finals or bust for Bucks, it's bust. Logic of numbers.Yeah, I'm sure we're the first bottom ten side to ever suffer a five goal loss to a top four side. Better chase up the exit forms!

Did Melbourne achieve something while I wasn't looking? You do realize we had about the same amount of players with little experience. In saying that it's ridiculous to use the game as evidence of anything another goal to you guys and Goodwins under pressure and buckleys a hero
No. Even if pies miss the finals on %, Buckley walks. Held Mick to his word, he must keep his. Gentleman's agreements are everything down at the Holden centre. If the Pies make the 8 (or even run it close, with a good percentage and competitive results), provided his heart is still in it as well, I think a two year extension to see how far he can take his group of players would be fair.
Buckley will sign any paper the club offers him, and I think they will offer him a new deal. I have absolutely no confidence in my team whatsoever to do something logical and correct. He's the worst coach in club history, even worse than Tony Shaw.No. Even if pies miss the finals on %, Buckley walks. Held Mick to his word, he must keep his. Bucks is good for the AFL, always has been, but why so rusted on to one club, should have gone to north, widen his experience, pies would always have been waiting for his return.Buckley will sign any paper the club offers him, and I think they will offer him a new deal. Totally agree but according to his post-game press conference, he still thinks we can make the finals yhis year. I am not sure what he is on but it must be pretty good. I expect a 10 goal defeat against the Hawks next week. So at least I am a pragmatist.Buckley will sign any paper the club offers him, and I think they will offer him a new deal.
