In Mike Sheehan's article in the Hun today:

"Franklin attended Wesley College in Perth, but grew up following Melbourne, as his father and grandfather had done.

"I was mad Melbourne, the only kid running round in a Melbourne jumper in under-12s," he said.

His heroes were Garry Lyon and David Schwarz."

If only our childhood supporters (Buddy and Judd to name but a few) were playing in Dees colours:rolleyes:
 
Irrellevant. Although it would be nice if players these days felt nostalgic and wanted to play for their childhood teams, I'm pretty sure we would be well placed on that list, what with Judd, Buddy, and our very Grimey.

Well that's just great news. :rolleyes: I'm all pumped for the new season now. We've got Mike Sheehan, Hinch, Neil Mitchell, too. It's all...It's just all too much.

and Simon Buckley was a melb supporter when growing up altho his brothers go for geelong

maloney was a massive deez supporter. ever noticed him sing the song, he goes totally crazy, i love it. although that bloody heffernan barracked for melb and decided to go back there.
