Bulls, Lakers or Celtics?

If you followed basketball during the 80's and 90's, you were at one a point either a Bulls, Lakers or Celtics fan. Which team did you support back in the day? The Lakers were my team back then, just loved the Showtime with Magic, Kareem and Worthy. Plus it didnt hurt that they were winning their games and a few championships.

Celtics are my team, always will be. I feel hero worship for MJ, but there's something special about Boston

I started following the NBA in '87 and didn't want to be a bandwagoner, so I didn't support the Celtics or the Lakers. I went for the Pistons instead and they went on to win two in a row.

i started with Houston... went throught the championship years in the 90's. The win over the Knicks still remains one of my great sporting moments.

I lost interest there when Drexler came along... and we had that jail bar strip with the crappy rocket on the front.

Didnt mind a bit of Atlanta in the early 2000's... have remained teamless since about 02/03.

We moved to LA around March/April '79, and all the talk in town was how the Lakers were going to select Magic Johnson in the draft. I saw a few interviews with Magic before draft day, highlights and replays of high school and college games, and thought he was brilliant. I became a Laker fan the day Magic was selected Number 1.

Started following the Celtics in about 79.

I'd started playing basketball and being from and Irish family it was a given i'd follow the team closely tied in to the Irish city.

Always have been, always will be.
Got into them when I started following the NBA/Hoops in 92 with the Dream Team and Bird etc.

Hopefully the good times are going to be again for the green machine soon

I never really followed any one team when I was younger - kinda just followed players. Starting going for Toronto in their first season though and have been a fan ever since.

Didn't know you played for Houston.

You reckon you followed them through the championship years then lost interest after Drexler came? Well they only won 2 titles and one of those was after Drexler came.

Spurs in the mid-ninties because they wore the same colours as collingwood.

Golden State when they had Run-TMC and then Sprewell and Webber.

Also enjoyed watching the Magic when they had Penny, Anderson and Shaq - especially the playoff series against Chicago when Penny made Jordan and Pippen look like pieces of crap.
