Actually Mazenod and Werribee will be an interesting game. There have been many side that have got thumped at Soldiers previously and been competitive on thier own soil.

Still think Werribee will win, but I would be shocked if it was a similar result to last time around.

Agree TT but Werribee a different side to previous years. I think it depends a lot on how the Tiger boys mindset is going into the game and if Mazenod can put enough pressure on the contest and hold Werribee's quick rebound from defence. If Mazenod don't it will be ugly.

When did you boys last play at Central Reserve? Unless you had a praccy game it wouldn't have been for a while would it? That ground gives Maz a significant edge normally, not sure it'll affect the outcome but could be a much more competitive game. Hopefully!

And it will be a bog after this weeks rain

Actually the ground is in pretty good nick, especially considering the state it was in the same time last year. Middle can be a bit slow but otherwise its a good deck.

An under 17 carnival ripped up the deck last year

Seniors have never played there, only u19's quite a while ago. Hope it is a hard slog.

I suggest you pack the gumboots lads. Might lose a couple of those tiny Bees boys in the deep mud!

Results this year show the ground is not the fortress it has been for mazenod over the past few years.

Can't believe ALL the talk is about Werribee v Mazenod, which won't make any difference to the finals and yet all the other games are significant.
MHSOB must win against Ormond if any chance not to be relegated and the same for Ormond
Ruppo must beat Ajax for any chance to get into finals
Fitzroy must win against OE for same reason and OE must win to remain in finals contention
Monash must beat OC to keep slim chance for finals alive but more importantly safe from relegation and the same for OC if they want to play finals.
Yet ALL the talk is about Werribee. Has Ajax ever put a post on this thread?
There is more exposure on the Premier B thread than on hear about Premier C.

Talking a lot of sense Bocce. some crucial games this week. Werribee v Mazenod should be a cracker but either way dont think it will mean much come finals. both sides would back themselves in regardless of this weeks results.

I agree bocce, as much as it's all about the Tigers, our game this week means jack. Far more immediate interest elsewhere....

Ormond to end MHSOB's faint hope
'Bees to make a statement at Central (where's Wheelers' Hill? :))
Fitzroy to dint OEG's hopes of finals
Jackas in a canter over a flagging Rupo
OC in a tight one against the Students

Grum :thumbsu:

MHSOB to beat Ormond
Werribee ( Wheelers hill - Take the freeway, continue through tunnel, exit at Ferntree Gully Road, stay in the left lane, turn left into springvale road, continue for 5 mins up the road to central Reserve. From Soldiers, there is barely a turn!)
Fitzroy over Old Essendon
Ajax to inflict revenge over Rupo
Old Camberwell to continue thier turnaround

Wouldn't back nods over bees with your money bugsy! Werribee by 10 goals.
Ormond to get a much needed win. High goodbye?
Oe will get it done over roys.
Monash need a win and will get it, forcing scribe off bigfooty for at least a week! Can smyth win the league b&f from only 7 games?
Ajax to loosen rupos wheel nuts.

Good luck and respect the men in white.

Who will win league b&f?

Cam Lee and Matty Dean would be up there for Werribee, as would Adam morrow and Nathan black.

Who from your club is a chance?

i'm not sure umpires should be allowed to vote at elections let alone on "C'" Grade footy matches. Cam Lee would be the most exciting player i have seen this year, what about one of the Taylors, they poll well. Panyai stands out too in the games i have seen. You will poll around 100 votes as a club so i'm tipping someone will be prominent. Thomas from Mazenod is a standout no.8 watch for him.

Kb I thought you said Thomas was a standout?! It's been a full quarter and he hasn't had a touch!! You wouldn't even know he was on the park

Yeah after i rapt him up he slipped over to Sunbury and filled in for us for the day. Added alot for the Ruppppie this afternoon.

After my car broke down on the way home down the Old Geelong Road, and I waited 90 minutes for roadside service, I've learnt the following about Premier C today:

1. Mazenod have some seriously handy forwards, but their Defence Against the (Nathan) Black Arts was awful;
2. Ajax are clearly Rupo's bitch;
3. Old Essendon are lucky there's only 2 weeks to go and they're clear of relegation;
4. Monash could be in strife if Ormond can jag one against OEG next week; and
5. It's now a 3 way battle for 4th between the Roys, OC and the unpredictable Rupo.....

Interesting times ahead chaps.
