I've seen "Digs" 3 times this year and he is the most over-rated player in the competition. Is more than likely a great bloke and perhaps he used to go better than he does now but on what i've seen he's not that much. Doesn't get his own ball, plays in the back half yet never mans up, and just gets the ball and kicks it long. Saying that, it would not surprise me one bit if the umpires continue to give him votes and reputation and the name gets him another B&F.

Bring on your bullshit comebacks Gunn Footballer and whoever else....

AGREED!!!! league b and f's are the biggest load of sh.t anyway. just like brownlows. its given to the midfielder or loose backman who has a good rep every year. as if the umpires care who wins.. they give the votes to the players they know

No comeback, you can think what you like. Those of us who have seen him play enough know what he is like as a player. Whatever we say here won't change your thoughts so why bother?

I guess it's like saying #1 for Hampton, Fletcher is a dud. I've seen him 2 times this year & gets enough of the ball but everytime he turns the ball over... You don't mind turnover kings having the ball so much. Go figure?

Generally respect your input Gunn, but that is just plain ridiculous. One comment calling a player over-rated and you target a Hampton player and call him a dud. A little far-fetched for my liking. You're certainly entitled to your opinion and based on the 2 Ormond games you've a right to have a lesser opinion of #1, but please..... he hasn't been selected in the State Rep side cos he's a dud.
I tend to agree with A43 to an extent. I believe Digs is a quality footballer with football nous, but I think people pump his tyres a little more than is necessary. He's got a role to play and does it with aplomb, but I've seen players running around C Section this year that are in front of him.
Having said that, good luck to him and the rest of the poo brown mob tomorrow. Should be a ripping contest.
A GF & B Section berth awaits.

Uncle, it's not what i think of #1 personally, i've seen more of his play to know better, just highlighting what rubbish Anthony43 was posting.

Stating that off 3 games he has seen, Digs is apparently not worthy of what he has achieved is plain ridiculous. Just comparing his small minded thoughts. Easy isn't it to slag off someone based on little facts.

Anyway, tomorrow will be a cracker of a game. Bring it on!

hampton vs ormond
The game will be decided by the running players... look for the little Ting number 21# to have a big day on the far wing. great running player with strong hands. closse all day with rovers to strong. by 4 goals. good luck to both teams... go the jacka
not another bloody winging spray and wipe

2 of those 3 games i'm talking of, i've read posts by knobs like you saying how good he was on that day. He's not a dud, but he is so over-rated it's not funny and has one string on his bow. The fact that you thought he was "awesome" on these days when he was plain boring reiterates by point. Every side in the comp has these players. Players with "names" so they are constantly put in the best and talked about when their games aren't that great.
On #1 for Hampton (Fletcher), the couple of times i've seen him he's been ok. He does turn the ball over a bit by foot but his speed and willingness to attack the game out-weighs this. Neither players are duds and are probably both over rated around the VAFA traps but for me, i'd take Fletcher over "Digs".

having not seen any c grade action this season I must admit the entourage and myself were impressed with the standard of today's 'hard at it footy', Hampton and Ormond seem to match up really well and i think had it not been for the last qtr wind tunnel the end result could have easily gone the other way...

not having seen the other two teams (yet) I would think the GF would be a cracker if these two met again, lets hope they do!

hampton were quite stiff with the wind all day

non existant in the first qtr when they were kicking with it, then picked up in the 2nd.. went across the ground in the 3rd, then turned around in the 4th for ormond to run home with

good game to watch

if martinov can be on top of his man for a full game.. they are a very good chance for the GF

pressure on the rovers now. Kicked the crap out of Old Mentone last year for going out in straight sets. mmmmmm things can come back to bit you on the bum...

Worst attempt at stirring the pot I've seen Dermie. Not bad from a bloke who, before a ball was bounced, said we'd struggle to be competitive all year. Best you concern yourself with winning a premiership old boy. A week off means very little if you don't get the job done.

Great game of footy y'day. Ormond proved to be the better side in the tug of war contest. Martinov probably the difference with long accurate shots on goal. One into the breeze in the third was a belter.

Ajax bowed out of the Finals race today after a poor showing against Oakleigh in the 1st Semi at the Junction oval.... The Krushers came to play and to their credit attacked the ball fiercely all day...a lesson for the Ajax players who were undisciplned and did not man up ..
The game was close during the 3rd quarter but Oakleigh came storming home to run over a disappointing Ajax unit.
Good luck to Oakleigh and Hampton next week in their quest for B Grade .....

the joel selwood of C section 21# for the rovers didnt have his normal run on his wing on sat. could have been the difference. as rovers lacked run into the wind for most of the day. it is said he is carrying an injury from 2 weeks ago when got leather poisoning. watch him bounce back this week. to my boys back luck on sunday. oaks better team on the day. good luck to the teams still in the hunt.

I'm pretty sure we only ever had negative comments about their flog of a coach Magee Mr Derm.. None of the boys ever had any issues with the Mentone players...

I'm just hoping the Rovers can bounce back next week and gain some revenge for 07..

What a lot of crap ,Rovers had their chances but Ormond were too good on the day.The wind was the same all day.
Hampton got 4 goals from soft frees, Robbins had a bad day and in the end we were too good.
Ajax like their cricket team are a pack of chokers, when it gets to finals they go to pieces.
Well done to Ormond seconds coach Kornal Dachs what a great coaching record, into another GF but it wasn't easy the Krushers had a fair crack and were a bit stiff in the end.

Not entirely. The wind did seem to pick up during the second. Definitely don't agree that it was an excuse. We certainly had our chances.
Robbins' bad day could be attributed to the fact the bloke that got the job on him did a great job. Had said player not had a brain fade and pushed Robbins in the back, he would've held him to 1 for the day.

Must admit, I thought Oakleigh were no chance against Ajax y'day..... until I woke up and it was raining. It's a shame only one of Hampton and Oakleigh can go up after this weekend. The rivalry between the two has been quite entertaining over the past 2 seasons.

Great game on Saturday, very physical encounter & the use of the wind was the factor in the end. Unlike what cubzy has said, the wind was the same for the 3rd & 4th qtrs, but we worked harder in the 3rd when we needed to. Knowing if we were only 2 or 3 goals down at 3/4 time we would bring it home & we did.

What Uncle Mick said earlier, Martinov stepped up in the 2nd half after being well held by #7 Duddy I think it is? That bomb in the 3rd against the breeze was a monster!

Good to see Oakleigh beat Ajax yesterday, I thought there'd be more excuses from Ajax but I guess we won't see them on here until next year! When Oakleigh's ressies beat theirs on Sat then they will be out for good.

Good luck to Hampton/Oakleigh in the prelim, should be a cracker of a game.

i cant believe this. we werent outplayed. some of the umpiring was terrible. jeremy was being held too much times and not getting the kicks he deserved. we have the best team and now we are 4th with no where to go. that should not of happened. this needs to be looked at. wrong vafa. wrong.
