Yeah. Would have to ask for 44.Pick 60 something is basically nothing anyway
The Demons, meanwhile, have agreed to trade former No. 4 draft pick Cale Morton to West Coast for pick 88. Morton was still in contract at Melbourne and the Demons are prepared to absorb some of his contract for next year at the Eagles.
This whole rumour is BS started by some Melbourne supporter, cant believe so many "Journalists" have run wit hit, we must be keen to get rid of Morton if we will trade him out for for a pick 4 picks after the lst one we will use in the draft.

Would be worth rolling the dice with pick 60+ imo. Can't see why not.
He has a lot of talent. Somewhere.
Would loller...in fact would loller and skate![]()
This could be our Jack Anthony moment.
I like this. Cale Morton was a #4 pick originally so he has the talent... and we have a habit of bringing kids home and making footballers out of them.... where they struggled with poorer clubs with a losing culture and not as much money. You can magnify that with Melbourne who are horrid at bringing on talent in young kids. Losing Lewis Stevenson in a straight swap for Cale Morton is brilliant.
He can play. Only problem is he's the softest player in the comp. And also one of the laziest.

I think Dees fans need to concede that this may have legs.
Age saying a done deal at Pick 88, so essentially nothing, and we still pay him next year.
If it's true, I think I may be violently ill. This would be one of the worst stories for our club. A #4 pick given away within a few years.
The flipside is it would be a steal for the Eagles. Morton's main problem is between the ears. He can definitely play.
will be interesting to see how he progresses in a real AFL team. He has talent, so with decent support and structure could emerge into the player he should be. Can't write someone off just because Melbourne couldn't get the best from him given their track recordIf Morton was uncontracted this year he would be delisted the Guy has been terrible for years, There is a reason why melb are giving him away cause no one hardly wants him, As for saying he is a pick 4 that dosent mean anything 5 years later and u want to trade him out its just a number
Eagles are going to pay Morton $ 225 000 pa on a two year deal , and as someone on WCE board said to play for Claremont !
If WCE are paying him that much , I would say that Melbourne are not paying his 2013 salary , unless he is on $ 400 000 or so .![]()

his role is to play well in a good teamHe might go better at WCE it is also alot easier to play better in a good team, Just like hill for example yes he had a good year in a good team but he is a down hill skier looks good in a good team.
