Both players reek of class.
I'd have to say TJ has more silk about him and has more of a reliable/amazing kick to him.
However Bruce is far more versatile. For example one day he can hold Steve Johnson to 2 goals while kicking 3 himself, and another day he can rack up 30 touches in the midfield.

Who would you rather?

Neither, both over-rated, inconsistent hacks. Hope Bails gets rid of Bruce.

You are an idot...

Did you not see Bruce shut down Brad Johnson in round 2? and then keep Steve Johnson quite last week and manage to kick 2 goals for himself??

Bruce hasn't been the same since he did his shoulder a couple of years a go but he is starting to look very good again.:thumbsu:

Trav Johnstone has always been very inconcistent and flashy(falshes of brilliance), He has been alright for the Lions but hasn't dome anything special....(will always have a soft spot for T.J)

And Bruce can play pretty much every position on the ground and do it well.

Would much rather have Bruce.

Why am I an idiot?
Im sick of these ******* supporters of the MFC that are happy to carry on with players who WONT get us to a premiership. So Bruce has played a few decent games in 2 years, BIG deal. His kicking most of the time is worse than what Godfreys was.
Would you rather carry on with the same old players that keep letting us down, and ultimately ruin this great club, or would you rather a complete re-build and have a tilt at a flag in 4-5 years time?
I know which Id prefer, and therefore Bruce MUST GO!

There different in there own way
but noone will take bruce and he is too good of a player to delist
he is one of our better players and personally i thought that the trade of tj had to be made because he was too inconsistant and bruce is alot more consistant and can play anywhere and he is still carrying his knee injury which has hampered him for the start of the year
there is no way bruce will be going anywhere

At least Travis can kick.

lol at those saying he can play every position on the park and play a range of roles. He has had a couple of good weeks playing different roles, but what he has been ordinary for a while.

Cam Bruce easy, still so so under-rated.

Melb supporters get on his case every now and then, cause they set the bar to high that even if he has 20-25 possies and kicks 2-3 goals. It's still not good enough because he didn't get 30 possies and 4 goals.

He would be in any starting 22 in the comp.

I remember on the radio after the Dogs game the commentating crew were talking about what Melbourne players would get a gig in the Geelong 22. They said White might sneak in, Green if he is in form, and Bruce no matter what, he is very good.
