Im a dockers supporter, desperate for mark harvey to remain our coach, we over here in the west cant shake the rumour that neale daniher is in the running for the dockers job. so my question is, if harvey doesnt take over, can daniher actually coach? i know melbourne were in in the GF in 2000, but im after a general consensus. cheers

he can but there are BIG questions marks, inconsistency and lack of spirit when the going gets tough are the main ones. I wouldn't worry about it as Harvey will get the job.

I can't see Daniher going back there if he does I hope Riley goes with him I think Neale would be a great TAC cup coach, Harvey looks safe after last Sunday but then again who knows.

Now you know how we feel. Just replace the words west with east, neale daniher with chris connolly, and dockers with demons

Watch out, he might bring his lovechild Brad Miller and trade Pavlich.

yeah ive never thought much of miller myself. i reckon pav will be financially compensated enough at the end of the year to finish his career at freo. as long as pav and harvs stay i'll be happy.

melbourne definetly dont want cuddles connolly to coach, but i reckon he'd do a better job than riley

And would also be a chance to pick up one or two of his old favourites via the PSD, enter Brown, Ward, Godfrey &c.

Why would Brown and Godders be in the PSD? Both have been very good players in an under-performing team this year. Ward has also had his patches of brilliance but not often enough, still can't see any of them going into PSD.

Surely there's a point where we have to make at least some changes. We can't expect to bounce out of the blocks next year and be back to 100% even with Rivers, Whelan, Bruce, Yze (!?) etc.. back in the squad. And unfortunately for the likes of Ward, Godfrey and Brown they're probably first in the firing line to go if we do start a modest rebuild.

We have a lot of players that play similar positions. E.g Ward, Bizzell, Brown, Whelan, Bartram, Johnson, Bell, Buckley, Petterd, Warnock and Wheatley.

Some play bigger, others samller but surely that's too many?
