Will Day looks good, but it highlights the key point; there's nowhere near enough quality young talent like that in this Hawthorn's team. Crabs like Morrison and O'Brien just aren't any good.

Biggest disappointment from tonight was other than Luke Breust this was our best team..

Replacing O’Brien or Lewis with Patton is just shuffling the deck chairs. Will make 0 difference.

Liked Jones’s debut but again, he isn’t ever going to be a star. Same as howe, cousins, Hanrahan, Morrison...just average afl footballers.

Mitchell returning has hurt worpel this season which is a shame. Worpel’s numbers are still decent but he’s become just a average inside mid.

Sicily and Hardwick are our other solid “young players” but again, Sicily has been incredibly inconsistent and Hardwick plays a role which in today’s footy isn’t going to help win your team games.

Omera has been a big disappointment. I couldn’t care less what our supporters think. He plays one very good game every 5 games. He’s a B grade midfielder, which is fine but not for what we gave up. This is what he is going to be due to his knee. Our supporters that think otherwise are delusional.

The McEvoy back and ceglar ruck has been a disaster. Again, I don’t care what our supporters say, there is no way you can justify that move. Ceglar is a bottom 3 ruckman in the league, McEvoy was top 6....

Wingard has been our best player this season and can’t begrudge the club for chasing him and giving up what they did. He’s a match winner and pure class.

Clarko and co have a huge job ahead...midfield has zero depth and forward line is worse...

Puopolo, O’Brien, Stratton, Lewis, Henderson, jones, ceglar and scully wouldn’t make most current teams best 22 and they are currently playing most weeks for us.

Next week we need to play Lewis, scrimshaw, Jeka and Jones. Jiath needs to play when he’s fit. Our list is absolutely cooked. Just have to play the kids.

Henderson. Scully. Puopolo. O’Brien. Ceglar should not play for the next 5 weeks at least.

Not sure of writing Clarko off but even if they lift in the 2nd half there is more than enough damning evidence to write off Puopolo and O'Brien for me. Use by date up, might get a pick for O'Brien but Poppy needs to take on a coaching role or something. Ridiculous to run behind your opponent and then pretend like it's 'pressure' and act as if the local athletics club leading sprinter couldn't do the same job (run fast, do **** all with the ball) better.

I'd look at phasing out Ceglar, Henderson, Stratton and putting a decent head on Frost - Frost has all the parts apart from a brain. Makes some absolute clueless decisions and overestimates his ball use massively. If you put James Frawley head (smarts and ability to know his limits) on Frosts body you'd have an AA full back. He's just an idiot.

Will Day looks a very handy type. A 12-15 year player for a single pick seems a better strategy than a 5-7 year (wishy washy) player for two picks and a player.

As I’ve said in this thread previously Jaeger Omera is a massive disappointed. He’s a B-grade footballer. Plays 1 very good game every 5, so basically 4-5 very good games a year. Unacceptable for what we paid for him. Watch our supporters try say I’m wrong and now I’m a troll when everything I’ve said is 100% correct
