Yep. Rodger Federer smashed Layton Hewett in the US open final.

Never forget.
Nope you need to have some quality in the team at all times, even when rebuilding. Just completely sucking the soul out of the club and committing to some 17 years olds to save the club is suicide. We all knew Hawthorn were going to drop off, but it’s happened so quickly.
They need to be creative and work out which players they can offload for some more draft capital. Surely they don’t need O’Meara or Wingard on the list while they are rebuilding - maybe time to cash them in for some early picks?
Both Scrimshw and Lewis have been in and out of rehab all year. Lewis has been nothing short of terrible but hopefully it is just conditioning and confidence in his body.
Worpel disappointing this year so far.
Don’t even get me started on our game plan... watching our wins is painful at the moment let alone our losses. For Lewis its gameplan. Hard for a young key forward when the ball movement is so slow.

‘ok but when I regard most of your posting as fantasy so where does that go?
Nah that’s stupid, he is not a battler. He is a 3rd year player having a down year.Worpel only a battler.
Winning the B&F more a statement on the list really ...
Another pathetic performance...this week against Sydney’s NEAFL side...just so grim our list...our forward line and midfield are just so pathetic...
Not acceptable. No other clubs young players get that free pass. Weitering was crucified in his 2nd year, Walsh currently called overrated.Nah that’s stupid, he is not a battler. He is a 3rd year player having a down year.
You are always miserable and pessimistic about this club. You were bound to get it right eventually. If you are genuinely a Hawk fan you need to give up the sport because no one should be THAT negative about a club that has had as much success as you have seen.Couldn’t care less..I call things as I see them and always have...every single post I have written in this thread since it started has been 100% correct..I just laugh it’s taken people like you and 95% of our other supporters so long to finally see how pathetic our team is now and how bad our list is. The next 3-5 years is going to be like the Schwab years. Brace yourself.
I’m not giving him a free pass? I’m calling him out for having a shit year... I’m just not going to write off a player who has shown more in his first 2 and a half years than most have. Not acceptable. No other clubs young players get that free pass. Weitering was crucified in his 2nd year, Walsh currently called overrated.
1 possession for a whole game is pretty abysmal though.
Lewis is going to have to figure out how to still have some impact when Hawthorn are down, because it is going to happen quite a bit over the next few years.

You forgot to use the word "sadly" to preface your view that tough times are aheadDo we have any concerns about their supposed quality young players?
Lewis did great last year but he hasn't fired a shot this year. Scrimshaw likewise. Hard to see Worpel getting much better than he is currently given his kicking is abysmal and he can't kick goals. Morrison is crap.
Day has shown a bit. Other than that, what young players do they have that look AFL quality? Tough times ahead for this Hawthorn team in my humble opinion.
It is more than just gameplay with him at the moment, his hands were seriously strong last year. Currently can’t catch a cold (luckily).1 possession for a whole game is pretty abysmal though.

his attack on the footy was fierce and he had a bit of arrogance about him which you need in key forwards.
Currently looks timid and lost, not tackling and not getting to contests.
How far away is Patton ?

we need you g talent and clearly need to hit the draft. We absolutely don’t need to have a fire sale on any players we hve.
Patton isn’t making us better. We have midfielders that can’t kick...he needs silver service. Once the ball hits the deck, he’s irrelevant.
We needed Mitch Lewis to really come on this season. I’m not excusing his performance today which was arguably the worst game anyone has played this season, but he’s had a few injuries this season and has had no continuity. Second half of last season he showed great potential.
Tim O’Brien is the other one that’s just killed us. He’s 26 and just hasn’t become the player Clarko would have hoped.
Missing out on Tom Lynch was an absolute killer for us.
How far away is Patton ?
Still waiting for you to respond to your chest puffing about adding Patton and Frost to your side this yearSeptember 2004
Never forget.

. Enjoy the long rebuild.I remember when you were trying to convince me Lewis was more talented than Aaron Naughton lol. Funny times. Both Scrimshw and Lewis have been in and out of rehab all year.
