Dogs fans need to calm the farm on Naughton. Has played some sensational games this year but has also had some shockers like tonight. Comparisons between him and Lewis are not as ridiculous as Dogs fans seem to think considering Lewis has put together a solid month of footy. People need to remember where both players were taken in the draft too. Naughton is highly rated from his junior days and Lewis seems to be the slow burner.

A few years ago Hawthorn traded their first round pick for a future Brownlow medalist. That pick was used by Port Adelaide to draft a highly touted key forward, but Hawthorn managed to pick up an unheard of key forward in that same draft with pick 76 who may be even better. Not suggesting trading your first round pick will always work out as well but its a pretty clear example of why they choose to operate this way
