Just had a distressing call from a mate...

A year ago his father passed away.. The day after he signed the paperwork with the funeral director as his step mother was sedated and unable to do so...

Its seems that the step mother refuses to make any payments for the funeral even though she inherited his fathers estate and was executor.....

The funeral company has referred my friend to a debt collection agency.... Sux big time...

I thought the executor was supposed to take care of all expenses from the deceased estate??

Any legal eagles out there ?

I'm nowhere near being a legal eagle, but that stinks bigtime. Is the stepmother a bitch or something?

I just had another call my friend who is now seriously ****ed off..\
It seems the step mother has already had another child to a new boyfriend 11 months after her previous husband died...

Its just tragic as my friend tells me as he signed the funeral (on behalf of stepmother) contract he is legally responsible for the payment $4900. Regardless of her being executor..

I guess the moral is GET A PRE PAID FUNERAL !!!!
