Don't think there'll be too many interested in a Sunday meeting this time of year, but I'm heading out to the track and will be posting my thoughts and tips once I've finished my analysis.

Rain is expected over the next few days but the track should still be good/dead. In my experience locals have a big advantage in most meetings, although the Cup field this year is reasonably strong so should be an exception. Its a race that throws up plenty of roughies.

Local trainers to watch for: Joseph, Dryden and Olive
Respect any horse Sweeney is riding as he has an outstanding record over an extended period on the track.

Tips will be up tommorow afternoon.

Tips:
Race 1: #8 Moorings Zed #2 Catch The Light #6 Layable
Race 2: #5 Fastrock #3 Typhoon Fury #8 Terrawinda
Race 3: 2yolds, just going with Olives runner Gosling as long as its a reasonable price
Rave 4: #6 Pandarelle #1 Fullafibz #10 Spring Storm
Race 5: #2 Just Drummin #7 Moorings Brumby #9 Dark Energy
Race 6: #2 Enzedex Eagle #5 MacNuckle #1 Spinney
- Have a few horses coming out of the Gosford Cup, some from the Goulburn Cup and others through the sydney/melbourne metro races.
- I thought Spinney had an extremely good ride to win the Gosford Cup and is unlikely to get it again. Enzedex Eagle is the one I prefer coming from that race.
- MacNuckle has been racing solidly and was good late in the Goulburn Cup, strong record at the track and the right kind of race for it should be a threat.
- Aristicratico was a little underwhelming last start but has been in good form and Emotional Outburst is being set a task on the short back up and travelling after a strong 2000m win second up. I think both are poor value on the prices being quoted but reasonable winning chances.
- The two value runners for mine are Vintage Rock and Down Under Boy. Vintage Rock came a strong third last year and this race isn't much harder. Is a much better horse at its home track, although was in better form this time last year.
Race 7: #4 Happy Finish #1 Voice Commander #5 Grand Rhumba
Race 8: #4 Skyrossa #7 Spirit Soul #1 Fab Cat

One of the best Sunday's for betting or just watching horse racing in a while.

To start, we obviously have the Canberra Cup.

Then at 4.40, we have the Miracle Mile, which many are stating has the strongest field in the event's history, or at least for a long while, on a new 1400m track at Menangle.

Then later that afternoon, we have the Japan Cup, which is building up to be a great match race, between the Breeders Cup turf winner Conduit and the local favourite Vodka (one of my black bookers).

For a Sunday (which is usually a dead day for betting), we have something to look forward to tomorrow.:thumbsu:
