In the article it states that for those who are unable to attend (Spikey), they are broadcasting it live on the EFC Website.

2,000 fans expected.

I'm hoping this is not just how it's being revealed but how it's being decided. First one out is captain, like a bizarro Royal Rumble. My money would be on Lovett-Murray.

You're not invited either. You can't be trusted not to get mad and start hitting people.
Only Ranga's aren't invited. And I only hit ranga's, so if you're not there, it'll be fine

Whatever the decision I hope it happens to a huge applause and acceptance. It'll be a bastard for the confidence of the Captain if not.

Melburnians don't know how lucky they are to be able to have the opportunity to go to something like this. Good if more than 2000 show up.

If not for his knee, I reckon Hille would get it.

It would have to be out of Hille, McVeigh and Watson. Anyone else and I'd be extremely surprised.

What hurts McVeigh is both his on field and off field lack of discipline. What helps him is that he is good with talking the talk, and if he can find his 08 form, he'll be able to walk the walk. If he doesn't get the gig, lets hope he doesn't get bitter about it because for some reason, he comes across as a person that would. I hope I'm wrong in that sense.

The front runner Watson, in my opinion, has most things going for him, although, he doesn't seem to have that grunt that McVeigh has which I like to see in a Captain. No doubt the heart is there and would definitely lead by example. Sometimes I wonder if he really wants the job, but when he went to the interviews with Knights (Burgoyne) it reaffirmed that he does want it or appears to.

Last is Hille. If I'm not wrong he did captain the team in the absence of Lloyd a few seasons ago and did a decent job. He's like a mix of McVeigh and Watson and could be seen as the perfect fit. The only thing going against him is his knee and if he can fully recover from it. I'd love it for him to be captain. No homo.

Should be able to make it; promises to be a great day. :thumbsu:

Hille for captain I reckon. Watson is still the front-runner in most people's eyes, but I have jumped off the bandwagon late and onto the Hille Express!
