Watched his highlights and was yeah yeah until they showed him on the burst. He’s a ****ing sleeper isn’t he!? He just shifts from a clearance plodder to three quick steps that you almost miss if you don’t look closely. Most impressive thing is he doesn’t over use it but just gets that space at the right moment. I’ve gone from reserving judgement to genuinely wondering how the hell we have landed this guy.

Yep the criticism around him being slow and a bad kick was some weird ass disinformation campaign. I have no clue how he wasn't a top 3 pick. Best player in his age group for the past 2 years by a mile but slid due to his 'athletic profile' which is insane.

Saw a youtube comment that comparing him to Luka Doncic in the NBA and I think it's perfect. Luka 'slid' to #3 despite being the clear best player in the draft because his ceiling wasn't as high as the two guys ahead of him due to his athletic profile. The two guys ahead of him can't hold a candle to Luka. Just as they couldn't when drafted

Sharp is a total freak. I cannot believe he wasn't in the top 3. Makes no sense at all.

Dude...Dons have cleaned up big time.

I wanted Tiges to take Sharp and Robey with 3+4.

watching the highlights vid, I am actually stunned by how good his disposal appears to be. Often, the in and under coalface players just throw it on the boot but Sharp seems to have extremely good disposal skills

Not enough is being made of the fact that we used Hawthorn’s original pick nine that they swapped with Carlton to try to entice us to depart with Merrett. So, in watching Sharp become a star and future captain we might also be bathing in the glory of knowing he could’ve been in Hawthorn colours if they weren’t hellbent on stealing our current captain and BnF winner.

We won't do it because it's an absolutely crazy idea but hear me out: we should make him our captain straight away.

I have been saying in the draft thread all year that he needs to be the target.

His work at SANFL level as an underager is some of the best I have seen. Same went for Cumming. Both are genuine A grade talent. Happy with Robey but I would have loved a Sharp/Cumming combo.

They weren't that Desperate only offered 16 + F1, its like 2 second rounders after bids and we already traded 21,27+30 to move up to the pick

Thought they would have added 2027 F1 as well.

I still would have said no....but it would maybe be worth considering, especially with Bewick.

Can't fault our tactics.

The fact we had a great Draft and held Merrett to his contract bodes well even if he leaves eventually.

Makes Hawks bid laughable considering we got 9 anyway!

I know someone who taught Viney at Carey and said he was a complete ********. Sharp does not strike me as that.
