Career-best form

We have quite a few players who, in my opinion, are in career-best form going into this Sunday's elimination final.
Griffiths - has overtaken Vickery
Edwards - past two months has been epic
Ellis - no need to say anything else
Grimes - took up where Astbury left off (and Astbury was in career-best form before injured)
Rance - AA fullback
Deledio - influencing every game he plays in. Wonder if he is in Sheehan's top 50 yet?
Miles - catalyst
Gordon - scrapheap to best 22
Martin - probable B&F for him this year
Houli - creative off halfback
Batchelor - just needed an extended run at it
Petterd - best year he has had with either club he has represented

And while Foley's form pre-injuries was arguably better than this year's, he is very close to career-best. And Maric, while probably better in 2012, is arguably more influential this year.

Anyone agree or disagree? have I missed anyone? Have I included someone who should not be there?

Foley is going to back to his best next year, you can tell he is building form.

Edwards is in best form now and on the rise. Think a stronger body is helping with this to

Think some plays are got a better run at it like Griffith's , Petterd in a non-tank club, Batchelor more mature and team going better and think he is more confident and settled to. Not sure if Lids in best form , close but playing better role like Richo on the wing. Griffith's playing in a more suitable role helps him to I think

Miles and Ellis improving with experience, bit like Rance. Ellis is really developing though. Think he could be a real leader for the club honestly!!!

Grimes getting better with better fitness base.

The exciting thing about Ellis for me is I thought after breaking out last year he would flatten out a bit this year and do a bit of plateauing but he is still growing. I could fit him into our leadership group but not as a yes man. Ellis has more upside than I thought, its up to him how far he wants to go I think!

JR is starting to play better footy to , more team orientated and getting the whole package together incorporating some SJ techniques etc..

I don't want to ruin the excitement around here... but, Magic do you know the difference between the words 'to' and 'too'?

My worry is not the players that are in form you still need to look at the guys who are out of form.We are lucky as Tugga said we have so many players in form and i reckon we have a bottom 4 rather than a 6.
Can our bottom 4 get us into a second final?
Can they lift and win us the game or will they still be under performers?Should they be dropped?
Here they are:
Morris on Gray last time was a nightmare and has played one serviceable game since.
Newman has played one game where hes moved out of the bottom four all year and was found out speed wise and tempo of the game on Sat .To his credit he used all of his experience and leadership to rush the behind at the end.Should he play?I say no
Petterd is the opposite to Newman and has often been in our best this season,but my worry is can he lift against top sides and in a final? I say he still deserves a second chance for is efforts throughout the season.@RodneyDangerfield will be happy
Reece Conca is my other concern as he is not showing any real intent on the pill.He just seems to be meandering expecting the ball to come to him.He got 12 possies as a sub ,but they lacked energy and substance.

Now b4 all the Mums ,Dads,family and friends come on i'm just looking at putting our best 22 on the park so lets be constructive rather than destructive

Agree with you Tug and it's been fantastic to see so many players hit their stride but it all counts for little if we lose this week. A win in a final would be the icing on the cake. Not expecting a win the week after but port are ripe and we have it over them. We should win this game on current form.
