Little bit late now, isn't it? :p

Got inside the ground but had yet to take a seat when an official promptly told me I had to go. :(

In that situation I guess there is no point in attempting to prove your bona fides? Closed is closed to everyone including Carlton members and supporters. Odd really.

It's weird that you actually got inside the ground. Most of the time, they'll lock the gates

I went in through the Carlton shop and up the stairs, as opposed to straight into the ground. Last time I went to a closed session, the people behind the desk told me it was before I went up stairs, but it seemed they weren't aware it was closed. Although when I got outside and saw no one else watching but myself, I kind of figured it was closed. Ah well, might just head down at Friday.

Banno and Hadley didn't train, both wont play.

Jamo and Walker took park in the non-contact drills, Hoops walked laps around the boundary.

Austin trained with the seniors.

We did a kick-out drill, and the 'team' kicking out turned it over 3 out of the first 5 kick ins.

More details later on..

On a side note, seat removals in the Heatley Stand have begun :(

Well, I'd say either tomorrow or Friday, but best to ring the club, and find out for sure

Talking Carlton - Training 24th June 2008

Hads, Hoops and Benji were in the injured group, Bower didn't come out. They did handball drills with Lappin and Teague for the majority of the duration - I felt that Hadley was the cleanest with skills etc through all this. Very glad we got him for such a low price.

The main group did a few run throughs, sprint work etc. Something which I noted (and was not thrilled to note) was that Fev was burnt off by Judd both in the sprints and in the jog back to position to start sprinting again. Would like to see more effort from the Fevster with things like that.

Next was a tackling drill with the bags - the Storm boys were also in so why they can't crosstrain is still beyond me. Otherwise there was some end to end work, majority of skills were pretty clean - only kick that was noticeably poor was one of Bentick's from the HBF. Hampson looked quite good on the lead, managed some quality pick ups from the deck and generally had a metre or two on his opponent. Would like to see him maybe as a secondary target, especially after Sunday's game. He later did some ruck drills with Carlos as well - he's got a jump on him, does Hampson. Give him a while and he'll be a very good player.

Walks looked OK, participated in the majority of drills before doing some contesting work with Lappin at the end. I'd say they were about 60-40 Walker's favour. He looks pretty well right, which is exciting.

Also did the fan thing and got pics with Russell and Jamo. Because I could.

Pics from training are in the link below, I think I took about 80 shots of varying quality - this is just a percentage of them.

Hope this is good enough for everyone
