Not watching this week - any chance of a summary.
:D
Lawrence Mooney filling in for Pang, Bombers man he is.

They were talking about something that lead to the term 'competitive advantage' being brought up and gaining one.

Maher turned to Mooney and said something along the lines of "Something *Essendon would know about"

Was classic :p

* for Navara79 as well

Pity he never said anything like that to Tim Watson whilst he was sitting next to him for years on the SEN Breakfast shift.

That poster was not acting like that at all.

Clearly made the point that it would be stupid to not apply for a pp and that is a fact.

Pick #19 -> Sydney
J.Lloyd -> Carlton

J.Lloyd essentially for free? LOL yeah it's smart to not try and do that isn't it?

Then we can still take #1, #24 + #27 to the draft.

Without that pick #19, will pick #24 get the deal done alone? Maybe, but might have to swap later picks. Then we only have 2 top 30 picks to go to the draft...

So it does make a relatively big difference to our recruitment this year.

19 not even close to getting it done for Lloyd

Carlton for one reason or another have never invested in serious midfield inside grunt- mongrel - abused Judd for years with lack of cover and now are doing same with Cripps

A few years ago we had Judd, Carazzo and Curnow and robinson and Brock. And IIRC we were seen as a good centre clearance team. There was also Gibbs floating around, and , although he is not super tough, he is no small fry and not easily pushed off the ball.

Nah, I liked Trigg. I get the decision to move on in terms of corporate/membership nous though.
Yeah it might be naive but I am left with the impression that he was good at getting admin sorted and reconnecting the club with fans and therefore good for what we needed, but not going to get us that extra step forward off field with finance, sponsorship and members.
