I find it interesting that when asked if it's possible if Carlton were look past Adelaide a little bit. Harrys reply was not confident:

"That's a great question and a fair question as well Gerard... I'd say.. I'd say, no?"

Convinced me there H, no chance we took Adelaide lightly
Obviously the current Coleman medallist would obviously reflect on his own performance because the obvious result was obviously not the result any CFC person would obviously wanted...

I apologise if this should be in a different thread, but if you have a spare thirty mins, this trip down memory lane with Kouta and Ange’s thoughts on the 1995 grand final is good to watch. Kouta offers the thought a couple of times that Peter Dean should have won the Norm Smith

Afl.com.au have just uploaded an analysis on why we are struggling. Nothing earth shattering there pretty much just highlights the % differences in various categories (kicking, scores per inside 50, defensive 50 transition to attacking 50) etc between our wins and losses. Unsurprisingly all categories drop in our losses.

Mind blowing isn't it, stats better in a win, worse in a loss

The real take is the inconsistent pressure valve and ball use. Easiest stat to determine a winner is based around inside 50 counts

I saw someone once say it's amazing how often footballers say "obviously" in interviews and the like. I think H says it twice in his first 2 sentences of this interview.

Ever since it was pointed out to me I've noticed they say it all the time
Media training, say anything but 'um'....try 'obviously' instead

I'd be really pissed off if the stats improved and we still lost the games .....[emoji1787]

Love Eddie, and one of my all time favorite players not just for the Carlton footy club, but one of the greatest players of the game itself…

From the outside looking in, and reading between the lines from what was stated from himself and all players involved from the start of things which hs hurt and effected emany by these horrible experiences by what’s happened within the camp along the way…

The failed attempt by the Adelaide fc club still needs to address its mismanagement of wrongful and unexceptional conduct of its practices of disgrace, headeded by all involved at the club led by Riccuito himself…

No one taking any ****ing responsibility…

Seriously.
He needs to step down and give a proper apology. I expect neither to happen. Coupled with Taylor Walker's 'slip up' you have to really wonder at the underlying culture of this club.

Doesn’t remotely look like anybody from the club wants to actually own up and take any type of responsibility for the hurt and suffering it has caused those impacted by it all…
There’s not really much more you can really say on the matter…

I actually thought their current CEO was pretty good on it yesterday, considering he had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Ricciuto is the last piece standing isn't it? Pretty sure everyone else was moved on.

Wayne Carey's age article this week was Bout who has to lift for Carlton to get their mojo back.

Quick summary;
Cripps - playing well, is our best player but needs to bring others with him and balance his game a bit.

Walsh - young gun but needs to have more impact than just getting the ball a lot. Needs to have more inside 50 disposals.

Weitering - sometimes takes a while to come back from a shoulder injury but has another gear that he needs to find.

McKay- always looks like he's playing injured and opponents feel stronger sensing that. Needs to get to more contests.

Nothing earth shattering there and probably agree with most of it. His final thoughts were along the lines of all of these things happen there is no reason Carlton can't win all three games and how confident would they be going into finals if that happened.

Pretty well summed up by the duck (going by your summary of his article and not a stat insight, just the eye test [emoji108]. music to my ears)

Just a wild guess but I'm tipping turnovers didn't drop.

Say what you want about Duck's past, but he's a better football analyst than most in the media.

Remmber that time he analysed our list and suggested we trade pick 1 for Thomas Bugg, Dom Tyson and some other guy about to be shipped off?

Spot on summary. Also think Charlie needs to start finding space.
