Hi guys,

Anyone know if the boys have an open session tomorrow, have the day off uni and was hoping to head down. The CFC website still has last weeks details up, just wondering if anyone else had different info.

Thanks.

From my Thursday Update email CC :-

The Carlton squad will have a final training session at Visy Park on Saturday from 11:00am.
The Carlton Shop will be open for membership and merchandise and the Carlton Café will be open for food and refreshments during the training session.

Training

Saturday 3rd March at 11.00am

It was pretty damp down at training today. A handful of hardy tragics were there to watch the guys go through a light session. No Waite, Judd, Kreuzer, or Mitch, and Murph was only spotted passing through the cafe afterwards.

Hammer was taking quite a few shots on goal, and missing most of them, but not by half as much as years previously. Sam Rowe seemed to be moving well and should be playing this weekend. He's a lump of a bloke, and a year of gym work will sharpen up that definition even more. Collins moved well, and I could swear Frodo was out there even though he was supposed to be getting finger surgery. We must have an undersized rookie I don't know yet.

No injuries. Not much else to report.

That would be an open session wouldnt it? I imagine it'd be hard to keep the public from watching at Yeronga anyway... unless its changed an awful lot. wonder if they'll charge entry...

Yes it is an open training session and I very much doubt that entry would be charged 95blues.

The Blues will hold an open training session in Yeronga, QLD on Wednesday afternoon. More details here: http://*******.com/74zkfkm #IAMCARLTON

The trip, short turn around, the minimal need to rush him, Bower's good form, Brisbane's shortish forward line.

Will be a good opportunity to get another easy-ish preparation game under his belt. I trust he'll be able to turn it on when needed against Collingwood, such is Jamo!

I could be wrong though. :)

For general interest, this report was posted by RiverRodent on Talking Carlton site (hope it's ok to post it here too). Many thanks to RiverRodent who frequently gives great insights on TC.
----------------------------------------------

Match was sub-VFL standard but quite entertaining.

Jamison and Duigan are ready to go for next week - both looked great.

Kerr, Ellard and Warnock were back. Ellard was a ball magnet as usual. Kerr got a fair bit of it but didn't use it as well as Ellard.

Warnock won lots of taps against smaller opposition and Ellard collected many of them - trouble being that he was on the opposing team in the first half.

AJ was good. Rowe was given a bath by Jamo. Watson was matched up on the VFL reserve grade resting ruckmen so didn't have much opposition and, as usual, didn't dominate as one might have hoped he would.

MacInness was decent. Heyne and Carter weren't. Bootsma was okay. No other AFL listed players.

Jamo, Duigan, Warnock and Ellard also did a bunch of extra running after the game, which was only 4 x 15 minutes.
