Carlton vs Melbourne

I look forward to this game, and although I suspect some Carlton supporters might be a bit down, never fear because you are playing a side who still isn't out of the woods IMO in terms of dropping winnable games.
Fev vs Carroll will be a cracker and if Carroll can hold Fev to 3 or less I think his AA chances would be good, whilst if Fev fires like he has all year and kicks a bag Carlton are a chance.
And just a note on Andrew Walker, I didn't really rate him at the start of this year but I noticed a thread on the Carlton board saying he hasn't delivered, well he has been in a bottom 4 side since his career began (Excluding 2004) and it is very hard for a youngster, also he is in his 3rd year and the majority of players don't start delivering till their 4th or beyond.
He has some good scalps this year and has shown some good signs. From a neutral perspective I think he should be given more of a run in the middle.

This is the game I feel that will decide if we are to get the wooden spoon or not.

If we get spanked, or not play at least 3 quarters of good footy it'll show the boys have conceded to getting the wooden spoon.

If the boys continue on from our 4th quarter v Freo and do the hard things the 1% etc we have a good chance to beat at least Richmond and Hawthorn.

We can beat Melbourne, we did it round 1. The only difference between the teams from then and now is confidence.

I hope Pagan releases the shackles on Walker for this game (I would of thought he'd put him on Davey or Pickett) and lets him do his stuff.

Move Whitnall out of defence for this one and try Waite at CHB or Bring Lappin back in to fulfill that role.

I think we should have a complete attacking mindset regardless of what happens. Just tell the boys to run, have fun and not to care what happens. Maybe our boys are using their heads too much and thinking too much about what they should do with the ball instead of just doing the instinctive things with it.

Kouta, stand up this game again and lead the team from the middle. Show Stevens what a captain should be and let him know why he will never be one.

Bryan, been doing really good the last 2 and now is the game we need you to help us blow apart. Go for goal or pinpoint Fev and show Pagan why he let you back in the side.

To the kids, play... ignore their bigger bodies (the rules are their now to protect you) and let adrenaline pull you through, you'll feel the bumps the day after!

Even if you lose, if we your supporters see you enjoying your footy and giving it a red hot go, we will enjoy the footy with you!

i like your optimism but realistically we are up against a team who spanked the doggies by 51 points last week. if we could get within 4 goals then that would be a solid effort.

I hope we put up a good fight but am expecting to get beaten fairly easily.

Davey and Pickett out sure doesn't hurt but they'll get Brad Green back, and have such good depth that likes of Miller or Dunn can be thrown into the half-forward line and stand tall.

Bruce will kill us, he always does. Need someone to do a good tag this time.
