Please just Carlton supporters voting!

I've included just the obvious candidates to avoid dilluting the results too much.

This is in general; not for just season 2011. so regardless of ladder positions, which club would you identify as Carlton's main rival?
 
Collingwood.

Would love nothing more than to see that club wiped off the face of the planet.

On both the essendon and collingwood boards they said Carlton is their respective clubs' biggest rival by a significant distance. So really the outcome of this poll will bethemost interesting.
 
Of course it's Collingwood.

Younger supporters (ie, the ones that use the internet and will be posting in this thread) will have a much bigger hate-on for Essendon though, so the poll could go either way.
 
Rapingwood.

Although whoever we're playing, on that day they are my most hated team.
 
I actually think these days Ess are our biggest, since the 1999 prelim the rivalry has just intensified and the whole 16 flags thing is a big factor, I reckon the Coll rivalry has lost a bit of it's zest over that period, it's prob starting to pick up again but I'd say Ess are the bigger rivals now
 
It's funny, I checked the results of each of Essendon, Collingwood, and Richmond polls and they all say that Carlton are their biggest rivals...

We're definitely the most hated team on BigFooty, I wonder if this spreads out to the general footy community.
 
After all these years, after the worst era in the history of the club, to know that we are still the most hated means only one thing. We are still the best club in the AFL.

I can't vote on this poll -- the AFL is not an option. @#$% the other clubs, @#$% every last one of them. Every single club loved kicking us when we were down whether they be Melbourne based or the non-Victorian clubs. They ALL bad mouthed us. I love beating every single club equally as much. As long as its a Carlton win at the end of the day I'm happy. Walking away last night felt sweet.

The Saints loved dishing it to us as much as any other if not more so. Beating them last year and again this year was sweet. However, I got the same buzz (if not slightly more) from beating the Swans in Sydney the week before as it had been so long since we had done that (win in Sydney). If we were to beat Geelong after the bye it'd be a similar feeling again - coming off the bye to beat a team above us on the ladder (even sweeter if Collingwood won this week (I don't think they will) and it put us ahead of them. Beating Collingwood in our return match would probably taste a little sweeter as there is nothing like putting a win on the board against the club that is sitting on the throne.
 
Collingwood. You're going to find this poll pointless i fear, as its going to be the runaway result. Richmond havent been a relevant rival - they've been muzzled since 1982. The Pies and Dons endure on our conscience, an ache we just cant get rid of, a cancer on the navy blue and white, a shadow that looms over princes park.
 
Collingwood or Essendon....personally I hate Essendon more at the moment, because of Essendon supporters I have worked with .... but hmmm over the decades the grand finals we've played against Collingwood...AND WON !! Probably puts them 1st

It used to be Collingwood then daylight the rest.....Now i think the Essendon/Carlton rivalry is just as big........it started in 93 and in 99 it grew massively.....now its huge...


i went Collingwood becuase its a rivalry that goes way back and has stood strong for so long, remember when i was a kid my old man said to me "you follow Carlton like me, and one thing you will do as a Carlton supporter is hate Collingwood" never understood why as a young bloke and kinda thought they were alright.............until one day he took me to Vic park....:eek::eek::eek:
 
Collingwood by a country mile, too much history for it not to be.
I don't respect Arsendumb or their supporters enough to even consider them a real rival. I find that, despite being clearly the most one-eyed fans around, the toothless mob know a little bit about the game. Can't say the same for bummers fans.

I was discussing this recently with my missus (a reformed bummer) and I came to the realisation that I get a lot more joy from beating the Pies but I hate losing to hirds turds more than anyone. This comes back to the respect thing, as Carlton supporters we should be able to expect to beat ess every time we meet.
 
i realise the Op is a hawks fan, but IMO they shouldn't even be on the poll. i don't really hate hawthorn - i don't give a stuff about them. as for the rest, from most hated onwards:

coll................ess....rich.

yes, the bombers have the same number of flags as us, and i'd bloody hate it if they won #17 before us, but nothing beats a good, hard-fought win over the pies, and seeing the pain in eddie's face when we do.

Whether we cheated or not, we were always going to win that day. Not sure if the cheating helped us that much. Our kids did the damage with a couple of old blokes.
