Such a contrast to the weather up here. It’s a gorgeous spring day
They had predicted gusts up to 30 but the front came through and it was stronger than expected

Market got cancelled two hours in but she had sold a fair bit and then the coffee van next to us bought everything else so she sold out. I sold one painting so we are back home early and happy.

Will they eat them or on sell them at other gigs they've got today

They will freeze and on sell later on and they will now probably look to buy from my daughter in the future. They don’t sell cakes at this market because my daughter does the market tries to be competitive and not have numerous people selling the same stuff

Apparently there is a 16 yr old on Great Australian Bake-Off - Cal Wilson series

MP_ thoughts of promoting child baker?
If they don’t have to clean up their mess then my daughter would definitely apply

  • White chocolate & lime
  • Mocha
  • Triple chocolate - white, milk and dark

I'm not normally the biggest chocolate person, but here's the influence for the suggestions

We talked about pistachio because of the Dubai chocolate craze, but I’m concerned about selling products with nuts and cross contamination leading to someone having a reaction. I like the white chocolate and lime it’s making me think of maybe a lime cheesecake frosting 🤤. Mocha is a good idea she’s done them before. She did biscoff last market because people said they wanted them and they hardly sold.

It's disappointing when folks ask for certain flavours but they then don't sell, and that's understandable regarding nuts

That little green & yellow chocolate on the plate had this really sharp gel in it that cut through the sweetness & richness of everything else - like the round thing on top of the brownie was a really thick caramel that held its shape, the brownie was a dense chocolate and then there was a ganache under the shortbread on the far side of the plate

I fluked saving that sharp little thing to finish - and that got me thinking about how when you've got things like white chocolate or milk chocolate which can be really sweet, having something tart/sharp to cut through it can be good; like raspberry, lime or passionfruit type thing

Yeah I want to grow finger limes because the fruit is these little balls like caviar that burst with lime flavour, I think they’d be awesome sprinkled on top of icing
