Nope.. Stanley will play ruck against 100% chance
Can Stanley back it up off consecutive 6 day breaks, or is he managed this week to ensure he's right to go up against Darcy Cameron in a fortnight?

I think 4-2 is about par on where we should be at this point. The St Kilda lost was a bad one, but getting the win in Adelaide during Gather Round was unexpected. We then have split our other two tricky ones against top 4 chasing teams.

Our next 5 games will tell a lot more about where we are at.

Talk that Gryan could miss 2 weeks due to the short turnarounds for our games, will essentially be 3 games in 12 days
It's a minimum 12 day break for concussion with the average days missed being 20

If Miers ticks every box and doesn't miss a beat, he'd be cleared to play Collingwood - but there's doubts we'd see him even with everything going total right for him

I like these Generalissimo - I don't always agree with every word but I love the reasoning and it adds to the conversation.
The Revolution of the Head of the Geelong BF post-game threads.

EDIT: despite what I said a second ago, I actually do agree with basically every word this week!

Thanks! I enjoy writing them too. Haven't had many people argue so far, so I guess I'm not completely off the mark most weeks ;).

Even 3-2 would be a good return

I thought he looked absolutely knackered at 3 quarter time this evening C09; personally I was somewhat surprised Scott and co didn't throw Blicavs into the ruck in the last quarter.

But what do I know? Stanley rallied and Blicavs did well in his role.

It's a good question though; how much does he have in the tank?

I'll back the club in to manage him appropriately; De Konning the Tom next week will be a decent challenge for any of our nominated rucks though.

Jesus Christ. Pretty shocking hit. And all this after the way the hawks acted after the Impey/ Baz incident on the wing in first half and the booing after that
How was that ‘not’ intentional?

Miers was handballing.
Nash went high, no where near the ball

EDIT:
Even Gary Lyon said his arm was no where near the ball

People been saying the 1st game was a fluke against Gawn.. 3 games later his form is still good..

His had a full pre-season for the first time in years. So his injury free. Keep playing him.

Good question and I'm not sure we can't overcook him. Probably only plays one of the next 2. I reckon that it depends on whether we want sdk to play against his brother or on mckay instead.

So king is arguing that Nash get half a game longer out then Miers?

Miers could miss two and a half games as a victim and Nash is 3 games is about right.

Go **** yourself you campaigner.
2 games for Miers would be standard concussion protocol but he had a pretty severe hit. Wouldn't be surprised for him to miss 3

He's trying to hit the ball carrying arm and knock the ball out (which is what they do now because of the rules around not dump tackling people) but he gets the angle wrong and hits him in the head. It's very reckless under the new rule and will be 4 weeks minimum. But it's not a king hit or a 'dog act'.

SDK to never play ruck again...
Blitz to be the ruck if we ever had to rest Stanley, and Neale to be the man to do the relief ruck

14. Connor O'Sullivan - First time we've seen him struggle, and I'm not sure Chol is the right matchup for him. But he'll learn from it and become a better player, and I like that he worked his way into the game after 1/2 time instead of dropping the head.
Happened last week too - Fogarty got a hold of him in the 2nd quarter, but he bounced back and had an excellent second half.

Amazing maturity from such a young man to have that sort of fortitude instead of just deciding "it's not my day today".
