I don't care what the stats say, that's one of the best matches I've ever seen Atkins play.

Great to see Cameron play to his potential in the second half.

An all time against the wall victory.

Dangerfield is GOATed.
Stats back up how I saw it;
24 disposals so he had a bit of it, 9 clearances, 4 inside 50s, 5 tackles, a goal assist, unlucky that he missed that goal in the last because that would have been the icing on the cake.
15 of those 24 disposals were contested because he was in the middle of everything, and only Smith and Cameron had more goal involvements for the team.

Wild to think when we brought him into the team he was a high half forward.

That was a win for the ages. No Kolo. No Stewart. No J. Henry. No worries (against the best forwardline in the comp mind you)!

Make no mistake, the calibre of that win, is just season-defining. We have looked lackluster to start the season, and just weren't playing as a 'team.' Enter Danger and throwing himself at every single contest, to get us within striking distance at half time. Everyone (bar Ollie Henry who I want to drop kick into the sun) came with him.

I also want to point out something, which I noticed last week that really changed how I feel about this season. Bailey Smith was the one giving the address to the group to start the game against Melbourne. You could see how into it he was, and how into it the group was that night. You then see how much everyone got around him after he kicked that goal tonight. I think both club and player have embraced each other, and there's no longer that bit of 'growing pains' we had at the start of the year where he looked slightly uncomfortable. It's a big deal, because chemistry is everything in this game, and Maxy and Baz look to be growing a really strong bond - off and on the field.

I really am just so impressed with everyone tonight (bar Henry). They all dug in, and they all played their hearts out when things weren't going their way. We then limited them to only 29 points in the second half, and won the clearances by 3. It's just phenomenal how we keep bouncing back and evolving.

As I said before, NEVER, EVER, WRITE US OFF!

I F*CKING LOVE THIS CLUB SO MUCH!!

Neale and Ollie Henry are worrying.
Feels like Danger is taking the spaces Henry wants to occupy as a "medium" forward replacing Rohan, and Danger is better at it.
Neale is still building, but OHenry is a worry.

He was a midfielder in the VFL and we finally got him into the guts mid 2022

From the forward pocket to a small defender before finally unleashing him in the midfield

There was also a lot where he wouldn't get a Stat. He was constantly disrupting Adelaide players, stopping the getting clear disposals away.

Neale and Ollie Henry are worrying.
I’m more worried about our small forwards. We’ve created so much through them over the last few years, but a few are starting to hear footsteps, not put in as much when they could.

Ollie will come out and get 4 goals in a quarter soon. He’s that type of player.

Neale is a contributing forward that tries hard to at least impact the contest. He also rucked for a fair bit of the backend of quarters when Stanley was stuffed.

Young players will take time, at times we need to be lenient. As stated, I’m concerned with a few of our small forwards that seem scared of taking a body.
