Chances For AA Squad

How many do you think we'll have in the squad for All Australian? Richo is a certainty. Deledio I reckon would have to be a chance but there's too many midfielders so he could easily miss out. Tuck as we all know has been out best player 2nd half of this year, if not the whole year, but he flys way under the radar. The other one is Kel Moore. If he'd been good a bit longer, I reckon he'd be a shoo-in for shortlisting and a real chance for the back pocket, especially this season where there have been few standouts in the position. But, as this is his breakout year and he is quite unremarkable in all respects to everyone outside of Richmond, I doubt he'll get a shot. Would absolutely love to see him there though. One player out of 40 isn't really that good is it?

Richo is your only one. Lids is a superb player but not at the level YET for AA. Tuck wouldn't be a chance as players who play a similar role such as Mitchel will get in before him. It is with a heavy heart I say that because Tuck is one of my favourite players. As for the other player suggested, Moore.... Ummmm no chance.

Amazingly in the HUN today Kevin Sheedy didn't have Richo in his AA side, he chose Joel Selwood and Corey Enright as the Wingmen, even Andrew Mackie was in the side before The Cho.

Moore might surprise. They generally pick the last line of defense with real defenders who stop their players and earn their kicks.

Hawthorn should try recruiting some of those players.

With the second best defense in the competition I am happy with who we have. Croad and Brown are in contention for AA and Birch is a dark horse chance. Our defense is pretty damn good. I have faith in my man Murphy or Thorpe to fill the last KPP player we are missing in our back.

Moore will not get looked out. I am fairly certain on that.

Brown, what the guy who is now a perminant forward, is too small to man the big men, and has now been put into the forward line for defensive pressure, I rate him, but he is a small defender at best, but is played too much on the talls.

this one's for you rayzor...reckon Tuck is our biggest chance outside Lids...Richo just doesnt get the kudos he deserves when it comes to AA sides.

I was happy to show Tuck the door 12 months ago,but he has been great.won't get AA,might get top 40.
Richo is a stinking stone cold certainty.
Lids in the 40.
On Moore, He won't get a look in,but has been fantastic.I do agree he is a better defender than croad and Birchall,but he hasn't the profile yet.He may get into the 40 hopefully.

I don't need to argue. Hawks have the second lowest points against in the league at the moment. Only behind Geelong. So I really do not see what angle you are taking.

You say Croad isnot good enough for the modern game. Ignoring the fact he would be odds on to make AA this year you are on your own with your opinion on him.

Brown is a very versatile player and has the ability to be very good on tall forwards even though he is shorter then most. So you say he is too small to man the big men? He has taken a lot of big names down so you saying his height works against him too make is unfound.

Birch is one of the best in the league at CHB. You are well and truely off the mark with him.

You must have some long hatred for Hawks with this attack because you swinging in the dark with alot of what you are saying. Maybe you shoudl concentrate on the troubles at Richmond then worry about Hawks who are going pretty well.

Richo is a lock, its a richo love fest in recent history (with good reason!) he'll get a deserved guernsey.

I think Lids is closer than most people are giving him credit for. definitely in the top 30 going round

top 15 in the league in , total disposals, inside50's, goal assists, is not far off top 20 in hardball gets, very low clanger count and has more than a goal a game from midfield what is it 24? bloody great season!
