Our ruck/key forward stocks are on a knifes edge. We've basically only got Dixon, Finlayson and Marshall. Everyone else is either injured (Georgiades), out of form and potentially terminally so (Lycett) or unproven (Hayes, Teakle, Visentini, Lord, Scully). We desperately need someone to step up because we are one long term injury away from disarray.

OUT: Duursma, Lord
IN: Bonner, Marshall

But we all know Jonas will come in for Williams

Sinn can push for a spot with a good game tomorrow for the Magpies.
Burgoyne got points for effort last night but we gave up one goal though Jase not having the physical strength to hold a tackle and lucky not to give up a second. Still needs more time for mine.
Burgoyne noticably more desperate last night, was ok, but needs those extra kgs.

Hopefully he has a good game and applies pressure to get into the team.

But the way it has been Williams, Lord and Teakle have got into the side without much form. And Williams has been really good.

Can you imagine Hayes in the A's running to the bench.. and there stands Hinkley... I bet Hayes wouldn't get a tap on the bum and a tongue in the ear.

Teakle the other one of shaky ground, but I'm unconvinced Lycett, Hayes, Visentini or Jake Neade and Kane Mitchell in a trench coat would be any better. Well....maybe that last one could have worked.

Our backline functions beautifully with Williams, Bergman, Houston, McKenzie and Allir in it. Agile and all good to great kicks. Hopefully Williams has retired Jonas. Jonas such a massive downgrade over any of those 5 and also shouldn't get in the way of a developing Pasini or jnr snr burger

Sinn would need 40+ posse to push for selection. He has been so underwhelming this year, looks like a lot of it has been lack of effort.

Alot of it is fitness, he has missed a fair. It with injuries last season so he needs a while to build unfortunately.

I am no great fan of Teakle, but I doubt he was as bad against the aints as some have suggested, sure their ruckman got a mega score in that fantasy stuff but even so I didn't think he had a great influence on the game, and they obviously didn't win it.

There is no doubt Teakle has his negatives, as does every other player on our list who is a was, or even a could be for the main ruck role, but his big plus is he regularly places himself where the ball is, and in my opinion that is the hardest skill of the lot to teach as the fumbles and dropped marks can be improved by more experience, and the extra confidence that should come with that experience.

We have little to no chance of winning a flag this year so I have no objection to him getting a run of 6 - 8 games, but if there is no obvious improvement in his deficiencies in that time frame I would have no issue with the club giving him the lemonade and sars, and even eventually sending him back to the wafl.

Re ruckmen often struggling early in their careers, I was at a game at Alberton 4 or 5 seasons back ( as were at least 3 other very regular posters), where Ladhams was absolutely destroyed by a snafl journey man who I hadn't heard of before or since, and I suspect lil pisty would now be a walk up start for the current Power line up.

I won't name the other posters who were in attendance that day, but my good mate Sir Wayne of Raptalia wasn't one of them because I haven't seen him at Alberton since Kevin Crease was reading the news on C9. ;)

Bombers copping a belting by Geelong, set for a 2 game losing streak and after 2 weeks ago looking like we were facing the top 2, in consecutive weeks, suddenly they're a side out of the 8. They'll bring season on the line type mentality, so we're going to need to be totally switched on.

Will be watching the SANFL with keen eyes on who will replace Teakle today. Hoping Jones, Mead, Sinn and Visentini can perform.

I reckon bonner should go to wing as duursma is probably not gonna play. burgoyne can go to sub, and pasini should go into the backline. I also like what port did with boak and not having him play wing the entire game and gettong some cbas into him, he had a great game, adn the experience stood out in the last quarter.

Burton?

Sinn's fitness is building but his composure isn't there yet, let him keep developing for another month or so in the two's.
