Our Ruck situation is really grim.

Hayes has completely lost the plot. No idea what they are doing with him in the sanfl but he looks completely lost and disinterested. Lycett went off in the first quarter and hayes still didn’t seem to be rucking that much.

Maybe we need to take a punt with Visentini because Teakle’s opponents have been best on ground for the opposition 2 weeks in a row. He is rubbish.

And yeah lycett is cooked and injured again but is currently still our number 1 ruck.

We shouldn’t have traded ladhams.

Its very difficult to play outside / skilled football in the SANFL. Sinn might come into the AFL team before everyone expects him to.
Vibe about him from the Loxton game sounded good. My view of ins/outs for this game was that we needed one call-up from the Maggies.

Its a shame Dixon is one on leg. He and Finlayson couldve shared the ruck for the remainder of the year.

good to know dixon is injured.

he will only kick 5 on us then.

Lycett just landed on his back after a huge leap in ruck where he was literally standing on the West guys head, he's probably fine today. I still wouldn't be surprised if he was picked for AFL duty.

Teakle is a real worry though. I understand the idea of trying someone, but he's clearly failed. It's just such a bad selection. If they don't want to go Hayes, or the next in line Visentini, they should be going with Finlayson. Teakle should literally only be an option if we're in all sorts of injury trouble.

The game could be decided in the ruck this week. That's where they'll have complete dominance, if we want to win we need to find a way to nullify that, and we can say one thing for absolute certain about Teakle, he has NOT been able to nullify an opposing ruck, in fact he's allowed most of them to have career best days.

I doubt Lycett is fine.

He was moving poorly before that. Struggling to keep up with an SANFL ruck around the ground.

Personally I suspect he had a back injury already and that is what has slowed him down so drastically.

I missed the first quarter and Lycett was already off the ground once i started watching but statistically it suggests Lycett started the game pretty well? 6 possessions, 4 tackles, 3 clearances, 7 hitouts, and did he even last a full quarter of footy?

Nearly equaled Sam Hayes output for the entire game.

Realistically we all know Jonas is coming straight back in.

Teaks has showed signs but we've also seen his opposite number absolutely dominate. With Lycett injured and Hayes out of sorts though, I say we persist with him. He is showing signs of improvement week on week so we may just have to wear it. Having Fin in the side helps as well.

In: Jonas, Marshall, Sinn (but more likely will be Bonner into the team)
Out: Burgoyne, Lord, Duursma

Its a worry , that in the last 2 weeks . both oppo smaller type ruckman have featured in the top two coaches votes. Teakle will be slaughtered by genuine tall's in Draper and Phillip's. If Lycett is fit enuf after his fall, he has to come back and possibly team with Teakle/Finalyson.

He (Visenti) seemed like the most capable ruckman on the ground to me.

Only watched last quarter & he (Visenti) seemed very tired. Was being out bodied at the stoppages.

I've edited the earlier post you both replied to where I said I thought Visenti was injured at Loxton. I've clarified it was actually Pasini. Corked thigh per the match report

... Jonas was good, despite what bigfarty thinks, against WC ...
I agree. You could call him Lemony Snicket after that game. He had a series of unfortunate events which collectively provided ammunition for the haters. Will be good to have him back.

So he fuxcked up multiple times, but other than that? He would have been destroyed on a fast deck on friday night.

Jeez! People being totally delusional if they think Jonas has been playing well. Yes he has a few moments where he might do something well, but spanning across an entire game tells a different story. Riddled with clangers, slow as buggery, and just looks cooked.

Yes, we know he will come back in because he is captain ... club has shot itself in the foot with that, but at some point before the season is finished, someone is going to have to tap him on the shoulder!

When Phillips plays. Draper plays all out attacks, he is a very good gut runner. So when he knows he has a chop out in the ruck he spreads very hard and kicks goals. Our midfield need to control this game. We will have Allir/McKenzie on resting ruck & Weideman. We all know Jonas will be back. Please Ken play Bergman on Stringer & not Jonas. Then there is Langford to worry about.

Yeah I was watching it on the app and there was one paly in particular where the ball was going down the opposite wing and the opposition ruckman was running across in the foreground to get there and Lycett was struggling along a decent way behind not looking healthy.

Out: Durrsma, Lord, Bonner
In: Marshall, Jonas, (Evans)

I’m in the Burgmann to the Wing group. You know Jonas is coming back in, prefer Burgmann to the wing and Williams staying in, opposed to Bonner on the wing and Williams making way for Jonas.
